I don't think the wheels were installed properly. One of each pair of wheels was not pushed on the axle enough so that the plastic on the body holding the axle in place was rubbing on the wheels preventing them from rotating. We pushed the wheels on a little further to match the other wheel of the pair, and now the axle is not held in place by the plastic of the body. The axles fall right out now. I don't know if the problem was that the plastic of the body is too pliable. We also purchased the Bachmann HO scale Annie and Clarabel, and the plastic portion holding the axles in place is much more rigid. I think the wheels not being pushed on properly during install caused them to sit out too far on the axle, which bent the plastic enough that the axle cannot be properly seated when the wheels are in the proper place on the axle. Disappointing Christmas present for my son. We're exchanging for troublesome truck #6, which is a a tanker. Hopefully that one doesn't have this same issue.
