Canon or non Canon - they infuriatingly do not always stay on - I am clumsy so need robust hoods on all lenses to with stand knocks - this is one of them.

Seems ok for the money. The plastic on these Chinese copies seems more fragile than the genuine Canon version, but I’d be less fed up if the new one fell into the river like my genuine Canon one did!

Compré este parasol porque perdí el que venía con un RF 24-105 f4, y la verdad es que una vez montado, ni te acuerdas de que no es el original. Se adapta perfectamente, no baila ni se desajusta, tampoco genera ningún viñeteo. Perfecto.

Yep, that is what I said. No Canon equipment anywhere. I do have a Nikon D700 and with it, I use a Tokina AT-X Pro 28-70mm f/2.8 lens. Problem, unless the lens came with a lens hood, one is out of luck. For some reason, Tokina made a lot of these lens but the lens hoods have all but disappeared. Lost is space maybe? So I did some research and found that someone had used the EW-83H for the Tokina. I thought I would try it, what do I have to lose? It fits, but one mush wiggle it on. It will rotate and it semi-locks in the correct position. A jolt might loosen it but if one is careful, that should not happen. And there was no vignetting that I could discern. Edges look clear at 28mm and 70mm. That is a big plus. Over all I am happy. Maybe a little surgery and the hood will fit like a champ. but for now, we will just leave it be. Gee... I wonder if a Nikon lens hood could be used. Hmmm... enquiring minds what to know.

Presque un an que je l'utilise sur mon 24-105 et s'adapte parfaitement. Pas de soucis niveau tenu et fait ce pour quoi il est conçu
