The review every skinny wrist man needs on this watch
I was on the fence about buying a watch. No because it's a homage or copy of the Omega Speedmaster but because of it's bracelet, which according to other reviews, it's quite big and has rough edges. I was on the fence because I wanted this homage with a bracelet, and not with a nato or anything else, but I decided to do it for just $90 at the time of purchase. So this is my input on this watch and I hope I can help people decide whether it's worth it or not. Case and design: The case is astonishingly beautiful, it does get pretty close to the real thing, even though I've only seen it in photos. The hands, the alignment of the seconds hand, the color, the date (I dig it even though it ain't like that on the Speedmaster). Everything is top notch. Good job on that Pagani. If you're looking for a homage or copy and not the real thing, this one knocks it out of the park. Movement: It's a Seiko VK63 movement, you can't go wrong with this one and I think they made the right choice by going mecaquartz. Robust, accurate and overall really good at this price point. Lume: Not the greatest, Pagani has to work on this one but it doesn't really bother me, though it might bother you. So if you are a lume guy, go with something else, but don't expect it at this price point. Crystal: I mean, it's sapphire with no AR coating, so it does reflect a lot. I mean, I'm not bothered by that at this price, but I'm just glad that this piece has sapphire. My other Seikos and Citizens don't even have that so it's a home run for me, but it might not be for you. Bracelet: Ok, so this is the most important part of the review according to the title. I have skinny wrists at 6.5 inches. I was worried that it would not fit and it almost didn't. I had to remove all available links and use the tightest micro adjustment in order to fit as you can see in the third photo. I love tapered bracelets so I'm glad it fit (just right) otherwise I would've sold the watch. If you have less than a 6,5 inches wrist and you plan on using the bracelet, buy an OEM or look somewhere else. On the other hand, the edges are really sharp. I mean, it's not like you are gonna cut yourself or anything, but it can become uncomfortable. I plan on fixing this by watching YouTube, although it would not be a deal breaker for me if I can't do it. Packaging: It's ok, nothing fancy but just like the boxes from the more affordable ones from seiko. It came with the guarantee, instruction manual, and a cheap link pin remover. Nothing to complain, nothing that stands out. Everything comes wrapped in adhesive plastic, which is a pain to remove. I wish Pagani would stop doing that, and just take that wrapping time to smooth the edges of the bracelet. Conclusion: For this price, you won't get anything better in the homage spectrum. I'm a space fanatic so I love it. I was planing on getting a Bulova Moonwath which I also love, but that one is just too big, and I didn't want the Moonswatch cause let's face it, that is an expensive toy. I also can't afford the real thing. I'm truly happy with this homage/copy and I'm planing on using it as a daily beater. Hope this one helps other that are on the fence right now. Incredible value for money. Good job Pagani and keep on improving and listening to what people have to say.

4.8 Overall 5.0 for the Price
The watch can compete with some other more expensive Swiss and Japanese watches in my collection. Pagani Design has been really working hard at making something that has good quality and ascetics. I was blown away at how well the face looked and the cleanness of the sapphire and dial layout. The look is spot on without looking like a cheap copy/clone, but a good homage watch with its own characteristics. I really hate that word 'homage' and how it sounds for some reason. I can't be the only one?! Under the hood I expect the Japanese VK63 Movement to provide good and reliable timekeeping for a long time. My only letdown sort of is the bracelet. Yes it looks good and it even fits my 8"+ wrist not to mention everything is in 316L steel. Solid end links and a nice clasp, but it has loose tolerances and makes that cheap sounding rattle at times, and pinned not screw links. Since it came with a NATO band I may swap it out from time to time but overall, damn this is a nice nice version of the Speedmaster Moonwatch! Nicely engraved screw down case back to boot. The watch has 4 benefits over the Speedmaster. 1) The use of a Sapphire crystal, while Omega offers that option now the base watch comes with their HESALITE GLASS and sapphire as an option. 2) The other step up IMO is the ceramic bezel insert used on the Pagani. Man this thing catches the light and shines! The Speedmaster dropped the ball here as well I believe. The bezel increments and indicators are different on mine as it starts after Tachymeter with 400 and lines vs 500 and dots like pictured currently on this site. I've seen both pictured on this V3 version so yours may differ. 3) The Pagani can go twice as deep as the Speedmaster 'maybe'. This Pagani can go down to 10 bar 100M /330Ft and the Speedmaster has a water resistance: 5 bar (50 meters / 167 feet). Screw down crown but not pushers so hmmm? 4) The Pagani Design V3 includes a date window which the Omega does not. If Pagani ever makes this one in a V4+ with an automatic movement inside I'm jumping on that one too. As of this writing there is a V4 but it looses the date window, has applied indices and logo, and also a meteorite textured face as well as some new colors. I use to disregard this brand and have one other Pagani but this one watch has made me reconsider the market they hold especially at the prices they offer and the materials and features you get for your $$$. One of my new favorite weekenders, my automatic swiss cheeses still run the weekdays though :) *4/29/24 Adding that the synthetic sapphire has some magical properties. NONE of my other watches from across the globe with a sapphire dome resists smudges and fingerprints like this thing does! I never see a print on it! Amazing to me at least.

Nice watch but its not the PD 1701 V3
If you're like me you ordered it because it looks similar to other watches that are much more expensive but at a reasonable price. If you look at the product descriptions and the "Top Reviews" for the "1701 Black V3 (White Hand) you'll see that they have the dots near the 12 o'clock indicator and the the Tach on dial starts at 500. Scrolling through the most recent reviews it seems something has changed in the last month or so and the dial and face has design has been changed while still being labeled as the 1701 V3. It seems that they have updated some of the product images on the version selector but not all. For anyone ordering this highly rated watch - be forewarned that the black design has changed - whether that's an issue or not is subjective. Outside of the design change, the watch is very nice - the white hands on the black dial are nice and readable although overhead LED lights do make it hard to read with the reflections. Timing is accurate over the few days I've had it. The chrono start/stop button requires a bit of force to use but it's not terrible - it may make you miss a start every now and then. I don't know if it was because of the heavy press or not but mine failed to work a handful of times but it worked the next time i pressed it. The bracelet is nice and comfortable although i think if you have small wrist you may struggle with the amount of links given the number of links you have to remove. Overall it's a very nice watch - I just wish they would label it as something else because if you're comparing "1701 V3" prices across different sellers and other locations it may be a misleading that this has a different design.

I'm pretty happy.
Very pleased. Nothing to complain about so far. Seems to be excellent quality. Good value for the money in a daily wear watch. Looks better in person than in the pictures!

Absolutely great looking watch! The detailing is really surprisingly good.
I just received the watch and I absolutely love it! I'm pretty fussy and this is good enough for an "homage" of the very expensive Omega Seamaster to satisfy me. I'm sure there are minor inconsistencies.. ie: I believe the "tachymetre" printing is just slightly larger than on the original but really surprisingly close in size. The printing is also quite crisp, even when I just use a simple magnifying glass. The minute and second hand are both correct and the alignment of the large second hand is spot on! This watch is fairly heavy which I like. When I ordered it I was concerned that it would look too big on my wrist as most 40 and 42 mm watches are just a bit large visually. For some reason the design allows this timepiece to look just perfect. Of course the function of the three little dials is different than on the Omega but I fully expected this as it's a nice Japanese movement and not a custom Swiss mechanism costing more than selling my liver would get me. I bought this primarily because I like the look and I have a whole bunch of watches I like to switch and wear. I'm very, very pleased which is often a tall order! My one serious complaint is the way Amazon ships this thing. It comes in a gift presentation box which is also very tasteful. Of course that is defeated when you put it into a plastic bag and ship it effectively unprotected. Printed on the bag it says "lighter than our smallest box" and it sure is! Of course it also provides zero protection! The presentation box arrived, as so many items from Amazon are now coming, mildly crushed! Most of the time it doesn't matter like when I receive a plastic Ladle or an electronic doodad as some of the boxes get tossed, but not this. This is a nice tasteful item and needs to be protected. There seems to be no way to get Amazon to stop sending me items in such a vulnerable fashion. It is my only major complaint about this otherwise very positive experience. Excellent work Pagani Designs!

Blown away by watch value, nylon strap is okay
10⭐️ for the watch, nylon strap is okay Review: First I was skeptical about Japan quartz movement, since in the same price range I could get an automatic watch from the same brand. But I’m glad that I chose this one. Screw-on crown, set time and forget for a few years-what a beauty!! Never had this type of watch, but I love how it uses main second arrow for tachymeter, looks professional! I decided to choose nylon band instead of stainless steel. Nylon outside, “genuine leather” inside. Overall quality feels ok, if you don't want to scratch stainless steel bracelet. Buttons are clicky(see video), crown screws on securely. Easy to read, bezel more of a gunmetal than piano-black that I expected. Every single function works flawlessly, but we will see how scratch-resistant is the glass, it goes about 2 millimeters above the bezel. Love it. Will let you know is something goes wrong.

Surprisingly great for price
No one’s gonna be fooled that this is an Omega Moonwatch, but it’s much much closer than you’d think at this price. Well made and finished for the money. The quartz movement is a true chronograph, but functions differently than the Omega Speedmaster, with different dials. The push buttons to stop/start and reset the large second hand and chronograph dials work reliably, and all the hands and markers on mine are perfectly aligned. The lume is not great, but the domed sapphire crystal and ceramic bezel certainly are. (Even the base model Speedmaster doesn’t have a sapphire crystal!). The bracelet is fine but the clasp only fair. Like most good Quartz movements, it has kept time perfectly matched to internet time to the second since it arrived. (Something mechanical watches rarely can). All in all, an accurate, solid timepiece at an incredibly low price that’s fine for everyday casual use. It’s 50% the quality of an Omega Speedy at 2% of the price. It’ll need a battery eventually, but not the expensive cleaning/lubing/adjusting service mechanicals like the watch it is an homage to periodically require.

Not bad, but it will leave you wanting.
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I bought this watch as a possible test run for deciding if I want a real Speedmaster. I also was hopeful that the Pagani may just scratch that itch enough that I would be happy with the cheap clone. The watch arrived well packaged in a cheap box which is perfect. When I am buying a cheap homage the last place I want any resources diverted to are a box. The watch looks great. No complaints there. The real issue is the feel. While this watch is astonishingly well-built for the price, the finishing is where the chinks in the armor start to show. All of the edges on the case, the bracelet, and the clasp are virtually unfinished leaving a sharp edge instead of a silky smooth edge of the likes you find on even watches costing $200. It's an east fix if you want to sit with a dremel and a grinding wheel for 30 minutes, which is what I did, but this is not for the faint of heart. One slip and the watch is scratched badly. Unfortunately, the sharp edges on the inner links cannot be smoothed out that easy so those will have to take time, like years, to soften. Once smoothed out, the watch feels much better and not like a super cheap clone. Another thing that is noticeable is the below average surface finishing. Several surfaces that should be flat are rounded such as the lugs and the link ends. This is probably due to there being little quality control when the brushed finish is applied. It has the feel of an original Speedmaster that was polished too much to restore it. Lastly, although Pagani stated these are made of 316L stainless, I am thinking they are really 304 stainless. The metal scratches far too easy to be quality stainless. There is some play in the clasp where the deployant clasp arms connect to the clasp via a spring bar. This causes the clasp to feel sloppy when closing and opening. Sometimes it even jams. I will probably swage the tube the spring bar sits in to fix that. Again, just a skipped step during manufacturing. In short, it's a great deal for the price but its not a great watch. I would rather get a higher quality clone for $300 so I don't have to deal with all these issues. If you think this will duplicate the experience of owning a real Speedmaster, it will not. It has the look as long as you don't look too close, but the feel is far from the real deal. This is a watch you buy if you are a kid, or broke. Nothing wrong with either and it's amazing to know a kid or broke person could have a watch this nice but, if you take watches even a little serious, this watch will leave you wanting. Did you really think they could make a Speedmaster for $100? They can't. But this may very well be the nicest $100 watch anywhere.
