Herbin 25000T- Stained wooden blotting pad , 8.5 x 4.7 x 7 cm

An excelent product, well made, and perfect for the job I had in mind. I notice some reviewers sugested it is smaller than they antisipated - well, yes it is quite small, but in my case that has made it perfect for the job. Let me explain - I,m the dogdbody for my wife's Christian Bookshop and I got fed up with price gun labels not sticking to the back covers of books so that eventually they would peel off prematurely. Oh yes, of course you can use your fingures to press the labels down, but then you end up with smudged labels and inky fingers - not cool in a book shop! This little, old fashioned devise came to mind as I was moaning about this issue. I looked on good old faithful Amazon and low and behold came up with this excellent product! Yes it is perhaps a little pricy, but well worth the extra it may cost over some cheap and nasty plastic job. Well recomended, especially for bookshop dogsbodys!!! After using the product for a day or two I hastely ordered a pack of blotting paper refills - no point in fafing around trying to cut up larger sheets of blotting paper, and these will last me for years. Buyer beware these do not fit the "Handcrafted Wooden Ink blotter Desk top blotter Ink Fountain Pen dip Blotting Paper" I bought these thinking they woud but they are too short and not wide enough, so I can use these a normal flat blotting paper. Other than it does not fit my blotter, no problem.

Blotters are so hard to come by these days, so this is great and good value for money. I like to write with a fountain pen, this is probably a bit small to blot a full A4 page, but fine for signing a typed letter, a greetings card or a cheque. Nice and absorbent. The only thing is the material it is made from looks quite cheap - imagine MFI mahogany furniture from 1991. I didn't buy it as a statement piece so it serves its purpose, but I wouldn't give it as a gift because of the looks.

Nice product and well made. Looks authentic, I am contented with the purchase as a fountain pen writer. It could be a little larger in your hand. The price is possibly too high but an interested party will always make this purchase. Thanks fo showing this product on Amazon sales.

Small enough to put out of the way but adequate for blotting your last words on the page. Saves on space and very functional.

Bought this as a present for a dip pen enthusiast, thought it was a bit expensive and possibly a bit small for the job but struggled to find anything else. The quality is okay, it is too small - the size is clearly stated on listing but when the blotter arrived I realised how small it felt. Over priced for what it is, I would return but by the time I've paid return postage it's not worth it.

This blotter paper has the right thickness and texture. I is larger than my ink blotters but I will still use the sheets separately.

I recently got into fountain pens and find that I enjoy a fountain pen rather than a ball point pen, however, it is necessary to have a blotter to prevent smearing. I have half sheets of blotting paper but they are large and cumbersome. I got this J. Herbin Rocker Style blotter and it's perfect! It is a small tool so I can get it into tight corners and it conveniently fits into several storage spaces in my bill desk. The handle screws off so it is possible to replace the blotting paper. It is a necessary part of my desk acoutrements and I couldn't do without it. Also, mine is in a very nice cherry finish. It looks like quality and I always enjoy reaching for it and using it. I can highly recommend the J. Herbin Rocker Style Desk Wood Ink Blotter!

This is supposed to be blotting paper. It has about the same absorbance as ordinary paper - In other words it is "Unfit for purpose". Utterly useless, regretfully.

As the screw cannot be tightened snugly to the wood, the folded edge of the paper keeps slipping out. You can see from the photo there’s a gap between the 2 pieces of wood. So I used a washi tape to secure the paper to the wood surface. For this price I wish they had paid attention to such detail.

These blotter sheets work perfectly for blotting my excess ink from my fountain pen.
