Pirate Mom (Step into Reading)

I am a reading tutor and I love these books for struggling readers. They are fun, have great illustrations and controlled vocabulary and make them want to read the book, and re-read it, which is unusual for non-readers. The Step into Reading series is great to recommend to parents because they can watch the levels go up and see how they change from one level to the next. I have a number of the Step into Reading books for use.

This book is great for young readers!!! My nephew loves the fun story and the book is perfect for his age/reading level (1st Grade). This is probably more of a 2nd grader book, but if your child enjoys reading and is a little younger, they will enjoy the challenge! :) Perfect for stockings, Easter baskets, or just a "no reason" gift! :)

I actually laughed out loud to this book. It’s pretty funny. Hypnosis is what I do for my career so it may have been a little more funny to me( 🤭) but regardless, it’s a silly, cute book and we enjoyed reading it together.

My 1st grader son and I absolutely LOVE this book! He cracks up at the little sayings that Pirate Mom says and some things she does. While it's a little longer than most of our other books (mainly because it's our only level 3 book), it's a great read. He reads 4 pages, then I read two, he reads 4 more, and so on. Of course he needs a little help with some of the words such as "bilge," but for the most part, he can sound them out easily. Fantastic book for mommy & son to read together! ☺️

I give you four stars because I liked the book and the funny ending. The pirate mom was just hilarious and knew how to keep the story interesting and kept it going at a smooth pace.

My 6 year old first grader loves reading! We laughed together reading Pirate Mom! Cute content, enjoyable and easy to read.

I love these series. But most important that my son does. I got 40+ books and he loves to read them (usually it is not that easy to make him read). I got mix of 2-3-4 levels for the second grader, second level is too easy, but it creates some fun and he reads them with pleasure. Love it, I would recommend it.

Cute story that my 7yr old 2nd grade son really likes. The book is 48 pages long with short paragraphs so it takes him roughly 15min to finish. He really likes the story line and it gets him interested in reading.

If your child is a pirate fan , he's gonna love this book..
