Why did you pick this product vs others?:Admittedly I purchased this controller based off its aesthetic design — that being said, I am pleasantly surprised. The controller is comfortable, great quality and even has an app where you can remap or adjust trigger sensitivity. The controller comes with an awesome charging stance and stores incredibly well. Highly recommend.

I got so tired of spending absurd money on "Elite" Xbox controllers and I finally broke free from them with this controller, which is an amazing value for the price. The charging dock is super elegant, when you pick the controller up off it it automatically powers on and connects, when you drop it back down on the dock it shuts off and disconnects automatically, very clean performance.My last Xbox Elite controller I started getting stick drift after just a few weeks even. I'm a year in to my first one of these 8bitdo Ultimates and have no issues whatsoever with it. It's just so refreshing to get actual value for your dollar after years of being frustrated with wasting money on controllers that are supposed to be top tier.Overall these things have a super elegant form factor with durability that the "elites" just don't have, all at a very affordable price. Get one or better yet, get two.

Pros:Halleffect sticks: are nice and feel similar to the ps4 sticks.Grip: The grips on it are very comfortable and provide a great grip especially when my hands start to sweat, but I can still wipe off my controller pretty easily.Dpad: the dpad is a tad overrated in my opinion... it feels slightly better than the switch pro controller.Macros and customisation: 8 bit do has an app that allows you to change the controller sensitivity... you can change the sensitivity in both the sticks and the bumpers, plus you can configure macros and make different profiles for different games.Back buttons: the back buttons feel easy enough to click that you don't struggle, but hard enough to where you won't accidentally push them. (If you grip your controller really hard in stressful situations this could be a breaking point for you)Dock: the dock looks GREAT and clicks when you connect your controller to it.It also won't slide around as it has rubber on the bottom of it to prevent sliding.Negatives:Input delay: the input delay on this is noticeably worst than the switch pro controller (and yes, I plugged it into every USB port to make sure it wasn't a fluke)It's playable, but until they make an update, I wouldn't go competitive in any game titles with this controller which stinks because the features are amazing! (Keep in mind I haven't finished my pc yet so I can't make a review for pc yet)Dimensions: if you have small to average hands like me you'll be fine, however if you have larger hands, you'll struggle to find a comfortable way to hold this since it's slightly boxier than the switch pro controller and the same size.Thumb grips: the stock thumbsticks feel a little slippery for my taste so I ended up just putting on some rubber grips over top of it.Conclusion:It's good if you're a casual player who wants some extra features and is tired of stick drift.But if you have large hands or are a competitive player trying to get the most out of your switch, I'd still recommend the official pro controller.Plus, if stick drift is an issue, you can just buy the $5 warranty from Amazon and keep the box so you can just send it back for a new one.Hope this helped, have a good day!✌️

This is my straight out of the box review. Unlike some of my other cheap 3rd party controllers I had zero issue with adding this to my Switch. I went to grip order, followed the instructions and it connected with ease. In case you didn't know, pressing the middle circle button and shaking the controller will turn on the Switch. The Switch Pro controller only requires the button press so I am unsure why they made the shake part of the process but it's not that big of a deal. It also takes a few seconds to connect before I can actually press a button, while the Pro Controller works almost instantly. Controller dock has a neat white light underneath and plugs into my Switch dock. The build quality is like any other controller, it's not amazing or bad just a good solid controller. My only complaint is the coarse grips. Some people find them comfortable while I initially found them to feel like sand paper. After gaming awhile it becomes less bothersome but never the less I'd prefer something softer for the grips.***Edit***After a few days of use the grips actually aren't so bad. I do still prefer something more squishy and soft vs grip style but its comfortable non the less.
