It is very comfortable against you but yet it is quite durable. I was a little surprised at how long it stayed warm - certainly enough to warm the bed for sleep. The lid is large with a substantial handle to grab onto. It screws on and off very easily but has not come loose at all. Super simple and effective.

This hot water bottle is pretty great for a lot of different positions.I have mostly used it on various parts of my back and knees especially.I dont think there would be any reason you couldn't put ice in it and make a semi-insulated ice pack either if needed, but I havent tried that.It isn't great if you need to move around a lot, but if you are sitting or laying down, that works pretty well.The plastic or rubber is pretty thick, so I don't think it would pop easily, but I wouldn't want to put all of my weight on it to try that. It feels like it would streach a little before bursting, but I'm not going to break mine to find out.From completely full, I have found that it stays hot for about an hour and a half to two hours, then warm for at least another hour if you start from really hot.After the first use, it doesn't naturally flatten out all the way, which makes drying it inverted very easy. I simply lean it against the wall on my bathroom counter and let it air dry. It will flatten out again if you make it, but it seems like this is some kind of thermal set plastic, so it's a bit more plyable when warm.
