Excellent stuff!
I purchased the glycolic body wash with the retinol moisturizer. I have keratosis pilaris, or something very close to it. My arms always have a little rash, even in childhood. But when I got closer to menopause, it seemed to spread all over my arms. I did some digging online and found that retinol can help. I figured it couldn't hurt to give it a try (I mean I love it on my face!). At first I was a little hesitant to try this combo. I have dry skin and acids (glycolic, lactic, retinol, and ferulic) can be very drying. But with the way my skin was looking, I figured it couldn't get much worse. I figured that I could rotate a more hydrating product into my routine as needed, just like you would do for your face when using chemical exfoliators like retinol and glycolic acid. After the first wash I was already impressed. I had read people complaining about the mint scent, but it's part of the treatment. It smells nice, I didn't find it as offensive as the reviews said. It lathers alright, but what it does for the skin is amazing. I saw a few reviews mention that it burns, but I didn't have that experience at all, and I used it on my entire body. After my shower I used the retinol lotion on my arms. Even after the first day my KP was claming down. By the next day my rash was reduced by at least half. I really wish I would have looked for something sooner, because I've had this going on my whole life. Now, let's talk about these products a little bit. I saw some confusion in the reviews about people using these products and drying out. That's because all of the acids are exfoliating, they are meant to accelerate skin resurfacing which can cause dryness. But that's what makes these products work (you can apply this knowledge to your facial products as well). I recommend using other mechanical exfoliators like body scrubs or a Buff Puff, then follow up with hydrating creams to balance out the acids. Also, if you're sensitive at first, go slow. You work up to using these type of things daily. If you start flaking and peeling, back off for a few days and use a scrub or face mask to remove the dead skin, and then use a hydrating moisturizer. Overall I'm very impressed with how effective this combo has been. I just wish I had considered using the knowledge I had about my facial products to my whole body. I love that these bottles are a decent size, not too expensive, and they actually work. I highly recommend!

It worked the first time I used it!!!
I am so happy with the results after using the glycolic acid body wash!!! I have keratosis pilaris on my whole body. Im 34 & it’s gotten worse the older I’ve gotten plus I have really dry skin. When I was younger before I knew what was wrong with my skin I would research it. What I found was the explanation that my pores were trapping the hairs & opening up the pores would fix it along with hydrating my skin. I started using a fingernail brush to SCRUB my arms with body wash while in the shower. It was kind of painful because the brush was really rough. Then I’d put Vaseline lotion with vitamin E in it on my arms. Oh and when I shaved my legs everyday followed by the same lotion the bumps disappeared. With the brush scrubbing open the bumps & then keeping them from building up after that along with the razor preventing any bumps from forming I had found a routine that worked but it was uncomfortable & time consuming & I eventually stopped doing it so the bumps returned. I started researching skincare acids & found that glycolic acid was great for exfoliating. I found the medix glycolic acid body & in the description it mentioned being really good for treating KP. I bought it paired with the hyaluronic acid body cream. The very first time I used it I could tell I HUGE difference! I can’t even think of another product that I’ve used that gave “first time use results”! Companies will claim that but until now it’s never been my experience. My skin was like 80% better! For the first time in years my skin felt smooth. My boyfriend was really surprised too as how well it worked the first time I used it. It lathered really well. My only complaint is the smell! It is an extremely strong minty/menthol smell!! It was so overwhelming & it opens up my sinuses some! I’m NOT a fan!!! But with how well it works I’m willing to deal with it. The body cream works really well too. It keeps my skin hydrated & it doesn’t leave a greasy feeling. It dries & feels like there’s almost nothing there & it lasts!

Hydrating & Pleasant
After reading reviews I was expecting a whole mess upon arrival, but thankfully my order arrived intact. Haven’t tried the glycolic acid body wash yet, but the coconut oil lotion is very nice. The lotion is soft and light but also hydrating (I have excessively dry & bumpy skin for reference). A little seems to go a long way. I find the scent pleasant, not overwhelming, and is a mix of the coconut and manuka honey.

Combating Aging one shower at a time :)
I recently tried the Medix 5.5 Exfoliating AHA Glycolic Acid Face & Body Scrub Cleanser with Hyaluronic Acid, and I am thoroughly impressed! This product is designed to tackle common skin concerns, particularly those related to aging and dryness, which can be especially prevalent during menopause. Effectiveness: From the very first use, I noticed a significant difference in my skin texture. The glycolic acid in this scrub effectively exfoliates dead skin cells, revealing a smoother and more radiant complexion. After struggling with dryness and dullness often associated with hormonal changes during menopause, this product has become a game changer for my skincare routine. My skin feels rejuvenated and looks healthier, with a noticeable reduction in the rough patches that had developed over time. Moisturizing Properties: One of the standout features of this scrub is its inclusion of hyaluronic acid, which is known for its incredible moisturizing properties. After exfoliating, my skin not only feels clean but also plump and hydrated. This is particularly important for those of us experiencing increased dryness due to menopause. The combination of exfoliation and hydration ensures that my skin retains its moisture without feeling tight or stripped. Texture and Application: The texture of the scrub is delightful—not too gritty, which makes it a pleasure to use. It lathers nicely, allowing for easy application on both the face and body. I appreciate that I can use it in the shower for an all-over treatment, making my skincare routine efficient and enjoyable. Fragrance: The scent is subtle and refreshing, which adds to the overall experience without being overwhelming. It’s a nice touch that makes using this product feel like a mini spa treatment at home. Overall Impression: The Medix 5.5 Exfoliating AHA Glycolic Acid Face & Body Scrub Cleanser with Hyaluronic Acid has truly impressed me. It addresses the challenges of aging and dryness, particularly during menopause, making it an essential part of my skincare arsenal. Pros: Effective exfoliation with glycolic acid Deep hydration from hyaluronic acid Pleasant texture and application Subtle refreshing fragrance Cons: Some users with sensitive skin may want to start with less frequent use to gauge tolerance, as glycolic acid can be potent. Takeaway; If you're dealing with aging skin and dryness, especially during menopause, I highly recommend giving the Medix 5.5 Exfoliating AHA Glycolic Acid Scrub a try. It has revitalized my skin and made a noticeable difference in combating dryness while enhancing overall texture. This product has earned a permanent spot in my skincare routine!

Magic in a bottle
I saw this brand through an influencer and thought I’d give it a try. This is my second purchase of their products. Started with just lotions. This time I did the body wash and retinol lotion. My skin feels so hydrated which is a constant battle here in the cold Midwest winter season. I have seen many fine lines fade away over my body. 50 isnt always fun as I watch my body age but this magic in a bottle has made me feel better about myself. It’s a bit pricey but I’m finding it worth the cost.

Sole Care
I have some mixed reviews with this body wash. The bottle is sturdy and pump is well made. The smell of the body wash is quite strong but pleasant. To me it smells like tea tree/eucalyptus. Personally for me it depends on where you put the body wash. If I put it on my arms and legs it lathers up really well and by appearance seems to be a quality body wash. Unfortunately, my skin appeared really red and blotchy after using it. I tried to use it on a pumice stone on the heals of my feet and wow!!!! My feet have never been so soft!!! I wasn’t able to use it head to toe but at least I was able to use it on something.

My skin feels so soft and smooth!
This body wash makes me happy. I feel like Im treating my body with the same care as I do my face. I use this in combination with the retinol lotion by the same brand. I seen a few reviews that mentioned this wash was drying their skin out and gave it a bad review. Chemical exfoliation or any type of exfoliation for that matter should be done once, maybe two, three times max per week. I use this twice a week personally. This is NOT an every day body wash. Use a gentle body wash most days. I use the retinol lotion every night. I follow up my evening routine with a vitamin e body oil. Yes, I apply lotion and then oil to my entire body. My skin feels like butter. Its extra work but I love how soft and smooth my skin is and I know my future self with thank me. This wash has a mild minty scent. I usually use products that are fragrance free due to skin sensitivity but this was the only wash I could find in my price range that had active ingredients I know are proven to exfoliate well while being gentle. This does not irritate my skin or cause me contact dermatitis. I have this on subscribe and save and will use it for years to come I imagine.
