Excellent watch with retro style. Box crystal is Hardlex, but at this price that is no surprise. I am not usually a Seiko fan, that said, I love this watch. It is the perfect size for my 7” wrist. The ivory dial is absolutely stunning. This is the most tasteful version of a sixties dial that lives in a watch that feels somehow current. I have been looking at this watch for a couple years, waiting for one of my Swiss brands to do it better. None of my Swiss brands did, so I finally broke down and bought it. I can’t stop looking at it. I love this watch.

So, normally I write about 3 paragraph on a watch review. But this Presage is going to make writing that much hard. The look is modern and retro at the same time. The dark red accent on a near white dial leaves it obvious yet subdued - it catches attention without bringing attention. It's prefect for a linen suit at a luncheon or a Carhartt at lunch break. It's not inexpensive - it is certainly a quality watch with a Seiko 4R34 automatic, hand-wind, and hacking - and clear back. And, it's worth the 700+ USD retail Seiko asks for - if you are wondering about value. It's also somehow a 41mm watch that someone who goes 38mm can still get away with. It's big - but it doesn't brag - so it doesn't look too big. And it still gets compliments. For me, that's rare.So, you would not be looking if you didn't already like it. All I can say (after all the above) is that for me, there is no bait and switch here - there's no marketing that left me disappointed. It's everything that it looks like it is. Watches make me happy, but this one also made me feel good. Like I really made a right choice.

Watch looks good and I like the open back. The colored bezel is a nice touch. The watch itself is heavy. The band was too large and i will be taking it to a jeweler for adjustment. The manual is online so it is one additional step. So far the watch meets my expectations.

Absolutely love this watch. I’m not a watch guy but this is my favorite material possession. Well built, great weight and comfort. Love the glass back.
