American Crew Men's Hair Pomade, Like Styling Gel with Heavy Hold & High Shine, 3 oz

I've tried countless hair products for my thick, unruly hair, especially when it comes to achieving that sleek, polished look without sacrificing all-day hold. Most fell flat (literally), leaving me with limp strands and frustration. But then, I stumbled upon my hair holy grail: American Crew Heavy Hold & Shine. Unlike flimsy gels or weak pomades, this bad boy delivers on its "heavy" promise. My hair stays put all day long, whether I'm conquering the office or conquering a spin class. No flyaways, no frizz, just polished perfection. Despite its heavy-duty hold, this pomade doesn't weigh down my hair. It applies smoothly, spreads easily, and doesn't leave my hair feeling stiff or crunchy. It's like a magic hold without the helmet hair. My gym sessions used to be hairdo doom, but not anymore. This pomade holds strong even through sweat and humidity, keeping my style intact even after a workout. Yes, I'm sold. So much so, that I've got a subscription set up to ensure I never run out.

At first it gave off a pretty wet gel look but the more you blow dry and run a comb thru it the more natural your hair will look . I usually use crew fiber but my hair is super thick so this stuff works great doesn't make it look as thick and the hold seems real good to and what I really like is it much easier to wash off then the fiber . Both are good pomades though

I've been using American Crew products to style my think, wavy hair for years. Recently, I started wearing my hair back and needed a product that would keep my hair down. I had been previously been using gel however, I didn't like the crunchy feel (and look) that gel gave my hair. At the salon, my stylist suggested this product. I tried it and liked it. The American Crew Heavy Hold Pomade is the best I've used for keeping my hair down all day long. It results in a little shinier look than I would like but that's a small price to pay for keeping my hair down and straight throughout the day. I recommend this to others with thick, wavy hair.

Small amount goes a long way. I can do my hair at 7:00 am and it’s still in place when I head home in the evening. It holds similar to their normal pomade but having to use less keeps that weird pomade smell to a minimum.

I have very thick hair so I have my barber texturize it. This product is great when that's done but when my hair grows back it doesnt really hold the style so I believe it's for thinner fine hair or texturize hair. Overall thought is that is smells great, is easy to rinse out of my hair, and it can hold my style for a few weeks after my haircut. One other great positive is that it is much cheaper on Amazon compared to salons or retail stores.

The price was more affordable than what I pay in the few stores that sell this product. It doesn’t leave your hair greasy or oily, and it holds your style in place.

Bought all kinds of products! Needed non greesy feel/look, non crusty (gel ugh), natural, holds medium length hair up. Preferred to run fingers through hair and wanted a hold into day two. Winner: Crew Molding Clay. Others: Sauvecito Pomade firme - This is overly perfumed gel. It is crusty when dried. Hard pass. Crew Heavy Hold Pomade - Felt like the Sauvecito Pomade, less crusty and no fragrance. Hold wasn't as strong as other products. Crew Fiber - Second place! Smooth feel like grooming cream and molding clay had a baby. Hair needs to be drier when put in. Loses hold when touched though. Crew Grooming Cream - Thick grease feel. Holds very well but I didn't like touching my hair after -- which does not break hold when you do. Equate Pomade Medium Hold - This is what you'd expect from Pomade feel. Wears out in one day and loses hold though. Trendsetter Matte Wax - Got the sample pack which is highly recommend just for feeling out prosucts. Found medium not enough hold. Firm was right but their firm is too stiff and unnatural feeling. Sample pack size good for travel to touch-up places after the fact. Crew Molding Clay - Drier feel and hair just feels natural while fingers can smoothy go through -- which does not break the hold. Holds very well day one and holds like the pomade on day two. I reapply day two if I care. The dampness of your hair effects the hold -- all water based. So play with dryness when using a new product. I use molding clay throughout and grooming cream on my kalik so nothing gets out of place. Cream perfectly controls any straggler hairs. If I saved you money, you're welcome!

If this doesn't hold your hair exactly where you want it for hours, there's no hope!

This is not a heavy hold. Hold is very weak they should change the name to medium hold. If you’re looking for the strong stuff this is not it

I have tried various Pomade and this one will be my new go to. Spreads very evenly with good shine and hold. My wife loves the scent.
