Good so far
I debated on this for awhile but the Black Friday Deals and reviews by some respected radio reviewers pushed me to buy it. The first night of playing around with it proved it was the right decision. Luckily for me, the shortwaves were alive. I live up near Niagara Falls, NY in western NY. I picked up a station from the Solomon Islands with just the telescopic antenna! Plus all the normal religion based stations. Radio Marti and some more I didn't identify. On the am band I was picking up Chicago, New York City and more that I didn't catch their call signs. FM seems real strong too but I haven't spent any real time with it so far. With the air band, I am lucky enough to be fairly close to the Niagara Falls Airport so that comes in strong. I also picked up some planes going into the Buffalo airport. Note that if you want to enable Longwave, you need to turn off the radio and long press the LW button to toggle it on as it is not enabled out of the box. I have yet been able to pick up anything on Longwave with any of my radios. But as a side note, I was listening to a CB channel this afternoon and was hearing Dallas, Waco, somewhere in the Carolinas, Florida and Oregon. Again, with just the telescopic antenna. The sound is what you would expect with a radio this size. Not hard to listen to and while there is no tone controls, you have plenty of bandwidth selections to get the sound to your liking. The sound through earphones is amazing. I have a pair of cheap in the ear phones and I was pleasantly surprised by the sound. I recommend downloading the owners menu off the internet as the manual that comes with it has very small print. Also watch some you tube videos. A couple of weird things about it, the squelch is a bit hinky to use. You have to be pretty quick to get it set but with practice it gets easier. And when using the SSB, there is a lag when turning it on. There is silence until it kicks in. While this won't be my main radio for use, it is a solid contender and does what is needed to enjoy the hobby. I am happy I bought it.

On flight path to large air port, lets you listen to pilots
just the right size. My father in-law is spends a little time every day listening to the planes that fly over our home. If you are into that or just scaning. ham radio broadcasts.

Having fun with this
I also bought the long wire antenna and that makes a big difference too. Sound quality is good for the small speaker but my poor hearing prefers headphones. Tune in the World!

Poor reception
I received no shortwave stations in El Paso, Texas. I tried using it in TN and was able to receive several shortwave stations, but the reception was poor. Pressing the power button repeatedly will set the time the radio will remain turned on (90, 60, 45, 30, 15 minutes). Pressing the power button once you reach 15 minutes shows that the radio is on. There is no way to turn the radio off that I could find. I would set it for 15 minutes and wait for it to shut off. Since some features require that the radio be off to set them, this is a big inconvenience. Longwave reception was one such feature.

the manual is the down side - slow amazon shipping
all in all the radio is ok for FM, down fall price and is the user manual, i scored a pl330 from alixpress for $50 and got it within 10 days ship from chine. amazon is slow on shipping..... you will have to look at some youtube videos to learn how to use it and the features like going into LSB while in sw mode you hit the info to change from USB to LSB . that are not listed the the tiny user manual .. the tecsun pl330 is a better radio, which is easier to use interface but if you want to save a lot of money and get a simple radio get the xhdata d328 that tiny radio kicks but on par with the pl330, ATS 20 +, the D 328 picks up better than the 3 radios mentioned.

Best Buy SW Radio
If you had to buy one SW radio the Sihuadon and XHDATA D-808 is the one to get. Great size, great reception, great sound and good quality. If you buy the D-109 you will eventually upgrade to the D-808. So skip a step and go to the 808. The seller was great with shipping.

Beaucoup de défauts sur la radio, trop d’options qui ne fonctionne pas bien, ça manque beaucoup de travail et il aurait dû être travaillé davantage avant d’être mis en marché
