Avatar: The Last Airbender - North And South Library Edition

if you loved the tv series and want more, this is a great book for you. it's the first of the avatar comics and picks off right where the series ended. i thought it was a really good story, as compelling and thoughtful as the series. i liked that every character features in this comic so your fave will be there! the library edition, although pricey, is really worth investing in since you get: - all parts of the promise (1-3) in one book with a nice hardcover - little notes from the author and illustrators in the margins, which are really nice to read as you're reading the story because they add that little bit of extra context or are just fun to know!

WOW, the book is huge. The artwork is truly beautiful and the commentary along the side of the comic, that comes with this library edition, are excellent peeks inside the mind of the creators on how they thought up the actions of the characters and story. The consistencies in writing between the show and comic is seamless. The writing is great and the voices of the characters is on point. The Promise is comprised of all 3 parts of the mini arc. The Promise picks up right where season 3 left off... as in right from where it left off. Zuko is now the Fire Lord and has decreed that all fire nation colonies are to be evacuate from the Earth Kingdom under the Harmony act that he and Aang came up with together. Everything seems to be going exactly as all expected. However things are never as easy as that in Avatar. If you're a fan of Avatar then I highly, highly recommend you read this graphic novel. You really won't regret it! I also got the Avatar: The Last Airbender - The Art of the Animated Series at the same time and again very happy with that also.

Just finished watching Avatar for the 2nd time. I didn't expect, that this book would LITERALLY continue the last episode. Even showing scenes from the last episode so it really does feel like a continuation!! It feels like I can get lost in this book, like I did with the TV show, I love the world they created, it's like it never ended. It's the first Library edition i've read. Only a few pages in, but let me tell you; so far the characters all seem exactly how they would act in the show and the drawings appear to be very accurate. Their personalities are spot on. Having a blast so far. This is literally the first time i've ever looked forward to reading a book EVER. I am not normally a book reader, but I thought i'd try because I need something to do before bed that doesn't involve staring at a TV screen because it makes me feel awfully tired the next day. Anyway. RECOMMENDED IF YOU LIKE THE AVATAR SERIES (best animated TV series of all time in my opinion!!!)

Couldn't agree more with other comments, it's like a continuation of the original series. You can hear the characters voices in your head and the artwork does the original series justice in every way. Enjoyed it so much I've gone and ordered "The Search" and "The Rift" (both follow on comics from this) in hardback! Can't wait to get into them.

With regards to the product I was sent: it came in perfect condition. A big beautiful book filled with amazing, colourful illustrations. With regards to the contents of the book: Another journey into the world of Avatar, and it does not disappoint (Although Aang and Katara calling each other sweetie is a bit too much for me). The story itself is quite thoughtful, but also fun. We see Zuko struggling with some of the decisions he has to make as Fire Lord, and its a very interesting read.

A fantastic start to the wonderfully designed book series with consistently beautiful artwork throughout, with true to the show depictions of your favourite characters, as well as new ones. Simply a great continuation to one of the best shows of our generation.

Arrived swiftly, well packaged. Love Avatar series and was quite lost after having finished it. The follow on comic books are amazing - great artwork and they finish off the stories to great satisfaction. My kids (8&10) also really loved the comics too.

The book is super-high quality from top to toe. The hardcover is superior with nice color and provides good protection for the whole book. Every page is made of decent-quality paper. As you touch on the page, you will feel that the product is made with good material. The book is the combination of the 3 parts from The Promise. The price is (dropped to) equal total price of all three books together, but the quality of this book is far higher than the 3 of them together. If you know that you would buy all three parts of The Promise, buy this one instead, they have extra features like concept art, writers' thoughts, artist' feelings... and the quality is above the normal comic you would get. I absolutely recommend this to anyone searching to buy The Promise from Avatar The Last Airbender. This is the best product I have ever bought! Forgot to mention, the shipping was fast as well! Good trade!

l'ho trattato con i guanti... il fumetto è in copertina rigida e al suo interno è diviso in tre capitoli i disegni sono magnifici il livello si inglese non è difficile, è alla portata di chiunque a mio parere

O livro apresenta uma linda capa dura e as páginas são de excelente qualidade. O conteúdo do livro se resume em apresentar: - A história completa que foi contada nas três HQs de The Promise (esse livro junta as 3 HQs); - Em comentários de Gene Luen Yang (alguns não são tão relevantes, já outros são - como o comentário sobre o Jet. Tive certeza do que aconteceu com ele apenas depois de ler esse livro hahaha). - Ao final do livro, podemos ver 6 páginas com sketches e artes dos personagens. Se você é um(a) grande fã assim como eu, adicione este livro à sua coleção!!

The book is absolutely perfect, it’s a heavy hardcover book with tons of pages and it contains the all 3 volumes of the continuation of the third season (comic book) as well as the concept art of the characters and places. The pages are silky and smooth. I received it a day before it was supposed to arrive and it was newly packaged (Not yet opened with the plastic around). Overall perfect, 11/10.
