I likeThis set by Artex. I have used pastels before but never enjoyed them as much as I have with these. The sticks are soft and seem to glide over the paper. The thickness is nice for a smooth appearance. To be honest, I have never created a whole page with just pastel but use them in mixed media and watercolor. I would buy this item again.

I bought these as a bigger set to begin a soft pastel beginners journey…of course I love expensive sets and I do think generally they are better then cheaper ones. These are great for my needs and def affordable on a budget.

They're a fragile product was not expecting these to be delivered in such good shape.However the shipping package was opened.

I have to admit that I was very nervous about ordering Soft chalks online. The potential for breakage is high because of how they are made. They came in a tyvex envelope that had no cushion or padding. I was through to see that there's not even a single crack in anyone of these. They appear to be great quality. Yet the ability for the chop to adhese to different materials Especially smooth surfaces Isn't that great, but if you use them with the proper paper, they're awesome. I purchased these 2 used for adult coloring books. The idea was to have subtle chalck backgrounds. They will work best on mixed media and at least water color materials. I believe the quality to be excellent even though I'm not very experienced with chalk. These are not as messy as most soft chocks are. The price is good. It was interesting to me that these are not as messy either. The actual box in the packaging, it is awesome.

Theses colors arrived very messy I could hardly read the names on the information sheet they enclosed with them because it was so full of chalk.

I like these! I got the 48 set and they come with a nice range of colors. The colors themselves are really vibrant and I had fun making this piece with them.
