Better than expected Norelco S900 Prestige SP9841/84
I have been using Norelco electric razors since High school. My Dad didn’t want to teach me to shave with a blade and he used a Norelco also. Didn’t have much of a beard until my 20’s but at that time I switched to a twin blade for shaving. But it was just too inefficient with time for early morning going to work routine. Norelco was never as close of a shave as a blade, also some of the Norelcos I have owned over the years had been quite brutal to the face. I finally decided to treat myself to their top-of-the-line shaver. I had always bought more of the lower to mid-range Norelco models before. What a difference Norelco S900 Prestige makes. Close as a razor? Yes. Comfortable shave? Absolutely. Great shave wet or dry. Most days I want to shave in under a minute, and this does a great job for everyday shaving. On special occasions I do a wet shave with Cremo Shave Cream and my face is as smooth as a barber’s shave. I can’t believe what a difference there is between their mid-tier and top dog models. If you can afford it, I highly recommend purchasing the Norelco S900 Prestige. Not cheap, but considering this is replacing the Norelco AT830/41 Shaver 4500 I bought in 2016 that was still running, the cost per year is not all that high. It charges fast and gives me plenty of shaves on a single charge. I like that the new version of the head cover flips up to clean the heads instead of the entire cover needing to be lifted. The beard trimmer works and it is so much easier to see where you’re cutting compared to the razors with built in trimmer. I do like the trimmer built into the other model razor for convenience better even though this trimmer is superior. One last point, Norelco razors work better if you have a heavy beard on your neck and they shave the curved areas better than foil razors. Loving the prestige SP9841/84 after using it a month. Don’t see any reason that will change.

Ho-Lee-Cow what a good shave!
53 years old and never used an electric shaver. I travel a ton with my job and thought, i am so tired of regular razors. Wake up in a hotel and go to shave and the blades are dull. Ouch! I read reviews and researched but settling on the S9000 Prestige. It arrived and i hooked it up to charger. Came in from shoveling snow/ice off driveway and took a shower. Had 3.5 days growth. Got out of shower, put a dollop of Cremo on my wet face and massaged it all over shaving area. Started shaving. When I finished, I was astonished at how close the shave was compared to my old manual razor. I rinsed face and put some Nivea post shave lotion on and my face felt good. Hahaha. Can’t say as my face ever felt good after shaving. My wife felt it and said, “Wow, your face feels so smooth!” Very happy. Pros: Came with charging cable, cleaning station, carry case, small cleaning brush and sideburn trimmer. Charged fast. Extremely close shave. Quiet as heck. No discomfort whatsoever. Cons: Takes a bit longer than a manual shave if you have a few days growth. Getting the spot right under nose, on upper lip, is tricky. I purchased some Cremo Shave Cream in cool mint and Nivea Post Shave Lotion with the S9000. I recommend those as well.

Smooth Clean shave
Hopefully, I won’t need to, but I would buy this electric shaver again. It is easy to use, easy to clean, comfortable, smooth, cuts close to skin with excellent battery life. I’ve owned this shaver for 10 months and it still works like new. I think this is the best electric shaver I have ever purchased. It was definitely worth the price.

Upgrade
I’ve used a manual razor on a daily basis for the last 20+years. After the pandemic, and work-from-home became a thing, my shave went from daily to weekly. Now that I’m back in office and dealing face to face with clients, I had to get back into that daily shave routine but my skin was not having it anymore. I decided to give electric shavers a shot, and purchased the Philips S5444. It was definitely not nearly as close as a razor and on my first few attempts I had pretty bad irritation, especially around my neck. As I learned to use it, the irritation got less and less but I wanted to try a better model. After researching reviews on Amazon, I was pointed towards the S9000 Prestige, which claims to be Norelco’s “best of the best”. Compared to a manual razor, it’s a lot more convenient and time-saving(dry shave), and if done correctly, less irritating. Not quite as close as a razor but not enough of a difference for me to care. Compared to the S5444, it’ certainly gives a closer shave with less irritation but not by a huge margin. The travel case and cleaning tools are nice but definitely not necessary. Haven’t tried the trimmer add-on yet but seems cumbersome to switch the heads all the time. Do I regret the upgrade? No. But is it actually worth triple the price? Also, no. Perhaps I still need to learn how to properly handle an electric shaver, and if it was my lack of skills all along I will certainly update my review and it give it a full 5stars.

Best electric shaver on the market, hands down!
I've owned so many electric razors in my life and this is simply the best. Exceptionally smooth and close shave, and the self clean option is a must add-on. Each jar of cleaning solution lasts for a full month, so this represents a value for money since it cleans the rotor heads so much better than water alone. The motor in this electric shaver is powerful, at full speed you will feel a twist in your hand from the torque when turning it on. I highly recommend this particular shaver with the self cleaning option - it is worth it!

Es una maravilla, lo bien y lo rápido que puedo afeitarme sin lastimarme. Es la mejor rasuradora que he usado a la fecha.
