Bicycle Playing Cards (Gold Standard) - BLUE BACK by Richard Turner - Trick

These cards truly are unique in the world of Bicycle Playing Cards! They feel and manipulate different to any others you will have used in this brand. They are traditionally cut,which basically means that doing a Faro or Weave shuffle is so easy it makes you feel like a pro every time you execute yet another perfect one with your eyes shut and the deck behind your back. Again! Seriously, if you're having trouble with learning or practicing the Faro, get these cards and you will quickly realise that the Faro is dependant on the cards you use. The cards are supposed to be usable out of the box. That is, they do not need to be 'broken in' . Now, if that means nothing to you then fine, don't worry about it! But if you know what I mean then you'll be happy to read that, most likely. I still like to run through the deck a few times but yeah, it seems true enough, the deck is soft and pliable as if the cards have been used for a few hours already when you unbox them. Not sure if I like such a thing or not. I suppose it doesn't cause a problem. All in all this deck is an absolute pleasure to hold and is my instant go to daily practice deck. In the hands all day some days. I think,not you like your cards and magic, you will likely find yourself doing the same and forgetting to put these down. They cost a bit more than your run of the mill Bikes, however, they are worth the price! These are NOTHING like run of the mill Bikes.

Update: Well, I've rarely seen a defect in a Bike deck, but there was a major split in the edge of the QD. I've barely used the deck, so I sent the ASpades and the QD to Bicycle for their warranty...only to find out these are "custom decks" and Bicycle does not warranty them. They did send me two Standard Blue decks, and Amazon is contacting the seller for me. The cards are still amazing, just sometimes with mass produced anything you may get a product that has an issue. Really hoping the seller takes care of me! Well, I've only had these for a few days, so this is a initial reaction, but whoa... I've been playing cards since I can remember, and started learning card Magic a couple years ago. I've really only ever used Bicycle Rider Back's, and I've played around with a couple decks from Ellusionist. So, I would really call myself an "advanced novice?" If there is such a thing. with that being said... The feel of these cards is absolutely incredible. Performing the more advanced shuffles are smooth as silk, and performing the more advanced sleight of hand techniques I do know (and have learned with regular Bike's) are hands down twice as easy for me. It's to the point that I don't want to use these as much, because plain and simple they make things easier! The quality of stock and the traditional cut of these cards make them what they are, and let me say they are fantastic(if I haven't said it yet lol). I played a few games of Whist with a couple buddies, and even normal, regular gameplay is made more enjoyable with this deck. If I could afford it, I would stock up on these while they last. One thing I know about myself, is to continue to learn an develop my skills with sleights, I am practicing with regular Bikes...but saving this deck for the small "performances" I put on for random tourists at the beach. The bottom line is this: no one really needs my word about anything when it comes to card magic, but for me personally, I can't seem to imagine a better made deck of cards. Thank you to Richard Turner for inspiring me, and helping to mak an excellent product. Bare in mind these should be selling for less than $5 (like on PM.com), but once you factor in shipping they aren't a bad deal at all here through Amazon. Worth it!
