I bought this vinyl wrap to redo my kitchen cabinets, and honestly, I’m shocked at how good it turned out. The colour and texture look far more premium in real life than in the listing photos. It has a subtle woodgrain effect that adds depth without being busy, and the finish looks like something you’d see in a modern showroom. Great value for money. Perfect size (only had to dual cut once). The wrap is thick enough to feel durable but still flexible, so it’s easy to apply even around the edges. I used a heat gun on the corners, and it behaved perfectly; no tearing, no weird stretch marks. Adhesion is strong but forgiving while repositioning, which saved me a few times!😅 Once installed, it transformed my cabinets completely. It doesn’t look like “vinyl” at all, more like actual paneling. I’ve already had compliments, and nobody can tell it’s a wrap unless I say it. Buying online is a bit hit and miss in terms of getting the right colour. I was prepared for coordination rather than an exact match and I had a couple of colour failures which I returned. I did this project on my own and it took me just over an hour. (Not including the ten minutes spent standing back and admiring the result! ;-) ) I took time to measure ("measure twice, cut once") and I went slowly at first to stick the vinyl onto the surface. There were no air bubbles and then I made the mistake of releasing pressure on smoothing out and got two very small air bubbles about 2mm in diameter but these were easily fixed with a pin and then smoothed over. Afterwards I couldn't even tell where they had been. The most challenging part was dealing with folding over the edges especially as I was working on a very hot day, in a tight space and was getting tired (of all the interruptions) By the time I got to the fourth corner I just wanted to finish and I rushed it a bit. The end result was still quite good. This particular vinyl has some texture to it, which I wasn't expecting so it has something of a wood feel to it. In fact it feels more like wood than the veneer it is covering! This is not thick vinyl so be careful not to stretch it inadvertantly. I think this product will work best on smooth, flat surfaces and the larger the area the more challenging it will be. This particular roll was wider than some available. I have a couple of more projects in mind now!

Great product after redecorating I didn't want to have to buy all new furniture so got this to cover a cube unit and must say it looks really good has gone on really easy and is easy to cut to size as has marks on the back to help. The unit now doesn't stand out as much as is similar colour to rest of furniture

Easy to use good price adheres well to surface

Used this as a trial to cover a stained boat hatch cover in the cockpit, very pleased with the outcome so have also used it to cover some water stained bulkheads and to brighten up the interior while still maintaining the wood look, a lot easier to apply than I expected and adhesive is good enough to allow repositioning, Helps if the surface is lightly sanded making sure you remove any dust particles, clean with meths or other alcohol based cleaner and allow to dry before applying.

Qualità veramente ottima. La pellicola è leggermente più spessa di quello che mi aspettavo, quindi direi molto meglio perché tende meno a stropicciarsi mentre si stacca e provoca meno bolle rispetto ad altre più sottili. La stampa è ottima e da lontano simula perfettamente il legno. Al tatto è particolare, perché ha delle specie di venature per ricreare un effetto naturale. Aderisce bene alla superfici su cui l’ho applicata, cioè legno e metallo (alluminio). Per il rapporto qualità/prezzo sono più che soddisfatto.

I bought this to cover some cardboard boxes that were the perfect size for storing things in a wood desk unit, but looked tacky. I matched the wood grain pretty closely when I chose the product, and it went on like a dream. Now the boxes look like they're an original part of the unit, or at least, designed to go with it. The adhesive is pretty good - you'll want to position it carefully - but the material is strong enough for minor repositioning if you get a small crease or bubble and have to pull an inch or so back up. Wouldn't hesitate to get it again.

I recently purchased an inexpensive desk for my home office. When the desk arrived, I was satisfied with the quality but the look of the laminate veneer didn't quite match the photos. I decided to try wrapping my desktop with a vinyl wrap to improve the look. In the past I have purchased samples of 3M architectural vinyl wraps but they are extremely expensive -- $20 per square foot in some cases. I decided to look for an alternative and found this d-c-fix "design folie" self-adhesive contact film. The film looked and felt better in person than I would have expected. I had never done a wrap project like this before but with the help of a simple plastic / felt squeegee, an Exacto knife and some scissors I was able to get a great looking result. I needed 2 rolls for a 63”x24” desk and had some small pieces left over. I was off to a good start with the first roll but ended up using the squeegee on a crease making a sharp ridge in the vinyl. This ruined the first roll but the next two went on perfectly. My advice to anyone doing this would be to pre-measure the amount you need, cut a few inches extra and then slowly apply the film using a squeegee GENTLY along the way. Overall I bought 4 rolls, used two, wasted one and still have a full unopened roll plus some small pieces left over. The wasted roll was entirely my fault and not an issue with the product. The quality, ease of use, appearance and durability are all exceptional for the price. As an added bonus this film is made in Germany. I only wish I had more projects to wrap!
