Love the quality of this kale powder
This container of freeze dried kale is of excellent quality. The color is vibrant and the flavor is mild. It seems to be very fresh. I add a scoop of this and a scoop of Koyah collards to my smoothie every morning. That equals a cup and a half of raw greens total. It digests very easily, which is why I moved to freeze dried over fresh or frozen. I'm very happy with the quality. I appreciate that this kale is grown in the USA, too.

I Love This!
I love Koyah's products. Most of us seem to know we all need kale, or another cruciferous vegetable, every day. However, not everyone wants to eat cruciferous vegetables every day, either steamed or in a salad. Koyah makes it a lot easier to get your daily quota of cruciferous vegetables. It's so easy to add kale, broccoli, or collard greens to your green smoothies, and there you are! You've gotten the cruciferous vegetables you need to keep the "bad stuff" at bay. You don't need to use a lot of this product no matter what you put it in, so one jar lasts me a month or more, something I consider great value for my money. (Each jar contains the equivalent of thirty cups of kale!) I'm also glad this is organic. I don't need pesticides, fertilizers, or additives in my food. And this tastes delicious! I do keep this in the refrigerator, especially during the warmest months of the year, so it doesn't clump together. You can even "hide" this in your children's smoothies, and they'll never know they're eating healthful, antioxidant rich kale. I'm so glad to have this, and I will continue to buy it.

Excellent product, worth the price
Yes this product is pricey but totally worth it. The freeze dried kale is a vibrancy green color and has a fresh kale taste. I mix 1/3 organic apple juice, 2/3 water with a scoop of kale and it is delicious.

My Favorites for adding a nutrients to my smoothies
This kale powder has been great, especially when fresh kale is not readily available. I love how convenient it is to use the kale powder to boost the nutrition of smoothies. I have been adding this powder to my smoothies everyday. Very reasonable price.

Fresh!
Nice, bright green, good flavor and best by date. Would give five stars if we're a bit cheaper. Tastes good enough to drink with plain water....But caution: don't use too much at once or may get stomach ' rumblings'! So much easier than buying, washing, chopping fresh kale and can add to smoothie, etc .

easy way to add kale!
I like the ease of this product. The powder blends in well--no lumps. I add it to spaghetti sauce, soup, and any sauce that needs a veggie boost. Makes spaghetti sauce a bit darker shade of red, but does not seem to affect the flavor of a well-spiced pot of sauce.

Very strong taste, hard to hide
Tastes like what it is... but highly concentrated. So, if you were hoping to get kale without tasting it... this isn't for you! I got this as I can no longer seem to digest leafy greens. I was hoping to get kale that didn't run straight through me. Works like a charm in that respect, but finding a way to use this powder is the challenge. The flavor is VERY STRONG. I have tried a half dozen different smoothies. All were rendered inedible by this stuff. Then I added it to a popular vegetable juice that has the number "8" in it ;-) This hides it sufficiently to make it 'possible' to consume. I would not say it makes it easy. The powder is hydrophobic, it is VERY difficult to get it mix. It thickens the beverage substantially. I would have given up on it entirely if weren't that I miss my greens very much. Since the digestion problem I have been dragging with low energy and irritability. Signs of a vitamin deficiency brought on by missing my big green salads. I am desperate to get these nutrients back in my diet and I'm willing to suffer a little for this. But, unless you are as motivated as I am, I think you'll find this stuff unusable. If this does give me the vitamin boost all those leaf greens once gave me, I will add that to this review in thirty days or so. I would feel so much better if there was any evidence on the package that it has the same nutrient profile as whole fresh kale. There isn't anything on the package to indicate any vitamin, mineral, or health advantage. Given as it tastes like camel dung that leaves little going for it. If this is the last sentence of this review.... thirty days has passed and I haven't ordered another package. 3/18/25 So, I'm here to say that I added this to a tomato type juice and this stuff is tolerable. It does, in that blend give a "feel good" boost like I'm my large garden salad. However, it is in no way a replacement. I've since learned to eat other foods along with my salad and am once again able to rely on it. If you can't stand eating dark green leafy veggies, than this MIGHT be a way out for you. Keep in mind the stuff just doesn't dissolve in the liquid you mix it with. In my case it made my tomato juice thicker and a little hard to swallow. I guess it depends on your level of motivation, and of course, your tastes ;-)

Great product!
I’ve been using Koyah‘s vegetable powders for several years now. I was looking for organic, US grown produce that is processed minimally. Koyah meets those standards. I have some very serious health problems and their vegetable powders help me get the extra nutrition I need and a very healing. The colors are bright and they taste wonderful. It does cost much more than other products, but you get what you pay for.

It’s not worth the money. Too expensive for what it is. It’s not different from the ones sold cheaper.
