Wild Republic Birds House Sparrow with authentic Bird Sound, Soft Toy for Kids, 13cm, White-brown

I love these RSPB birds with their recorded bird song. My grandson loves this gift and I plan to give him many more of the different birds as he grows up so that we can recognise the birds in the wild. A really lovely present idea.

It's beautiful and well made and has a little concealed button that when pressed plays the authentic bird song of the house sparrow. It's a lovely gift.

Very sweet, good bird sound and soft plush body. Shame the battery can not be replaced. My little grand daughter loves it.

Not as good as the original design as sold by the RSPB. These wings & tail feathers don't lift up as much, & the material is thinner & less plushy, so it doesn't feel as nice as the previous version. Good face though, & great colours - slightly too many dynamic markings for realism, but they are nicer than the original one - I have both to compare. All the small birds in this Wild Republic brand have the same rounded shape, & these feel a bit too generic. The sound is good on this one. However, all things considered, this seems more of a toddler toy than a collectors' item. The older ones were much better designed all round. I won't be buying any more of this type.

So cute, brought many birds in the collection. All well worth it and my son loves them.

I bought two more of these bird toys this week having had the kestrel one given as a present some years ago. They were dispatched really quickly and did not disappoint, being lovely to look at and their lifelike sounds are beautiful as well.

My granddaughter will be 1 year old this week and she loves looking at birds and says 'br' when she sees them. I bought her this delightful sparrow soft toy so that she can enjoy seeing the 'br' all the time. This toy is a good size and has an in-built bird song tweet which is activated by pressing a button sewn into it. When viewing this toy on Amazon, I also noted that there are robins, finches, blackbirds, tits and thrushes. I reckon I'll be buying these at Christmas and future birthdays.
