Breeder's Choice for Young Kittens
As a purebred Siberian cat breeder, this is my top choice for our young kittens and nursing mama cats. The nutrition is solid and the tiny kibble is ideal for a first dry food. Sometimes we will hydrate the kibble with hot water to soften first, but they are able to eat it dry pretty early on while they are still nursing. It's a solid choice for pregnant mama cats, too. It is on the expensive end of options, but I think it's worth it!

Perfect for Our Foster Kittens!
We’ve been fostering kittens for a few years now, and Royal Canin has become our go-to choice. The kibble size is ideal for tiny mouths, making it easy for even the youngest kittens to eat. When needed, it softens easily with a bit of warm water, which is great for weaning or very small kittens just learning to eat solid food. Most importantly, our kittens really like it—even the picky ones! We’ve tried a few other brands, but this one consistently gets the best response. Highly recommend for anyone caring for kittens or raising a litter!
