Nice knife at a fair price.
My wife is very happy with this knife. She says it cuts frozen foods as well as thawed meats and vegetables. She was very impressed with the sharpness of the blade and likes the scabbard for safely storing it as well. The price is very fair for a knife of this quality.

Good quality and easy for me to use
The main reason I purchased this kitchen knife is that I have a partial paralysis of my dominant right hand, which makes it not only difficult but also hazardous to use my regular kitchen knives. This knife works great. Having a hole for my index finger provides a more secure grip on the knife, and the wide blade allows me to safely guide the blade with the knuckles of my left hand. The quality of the carbon steel is very good. The blade takes and holds a sharp edge. However, being carbon steel, the blade requires more care than a stainless steel blade. Be aware that this is a large knife and is quite heavy.

Amazing
Great knife! My new favourite in the kitchen. Make sure to get some food grade mineral oil to lightly apply it to the blade to prevent rust from forming

Beefy knife for beefy cutting tasks
Good knife, comfortable, beefy. The edge retention can be a bit hit or miss, as I find myself sharpening it more than some other of my knives. For its weight it's surprisingly deft, allowing for precise cutting where you'd think this complete slab of a knife might not function. The handle is comfortable and you feel very much in control of your cuts. Can handle cutting through chicken bone SURPRISINGLY well (it's a great knife for carving up a rotisserie chicken!). It's been very durable in our use case, and overall it's a good addition to the stable of knives we use on a regular basis. Only took a star off because trying to sharpen it is a bit unwieldy until you get familiar with it.

Perfect White Elephant Gift
I picked up this knife on sale and brought it to a white elephant gift exchange attended by a bunch of foodies. The hosts owned a full set of Coolinas proudly displayed in their kitchen among numerous high end German and Japanese cooking knives. The Huusk knife was the hit of the party, and was 'stolen' the maximum number of times per the exchange rules. Everyone wanted it. This Huusk knife is so nice looking and well packaged that the host accused me of going over the $35 price limit. I didn't, but I think they felt a bit ripped off after paying three times as much for the same quality of knife with a trendy name. Let's be honest here, few legitimate chefs use this type of knife in a professional kitchen. These knives are cumbersome and prone to rust, but they are a fun novelty, and maybe a substitute for a cleaver for a home chef. I was about to buy this Huusk knife for my wife when the host of the party we attended gifted us a Coolina. It too is cumbersome and prone to rust. We rarely choose it over our Wusthof and Zwilling knives, but it is fun to break out when guests come over. I would never pay for a Coolina when knives like the Huusk are available. It is a real bargain.
