Love it
Sound great as authentic as it gets seems to sound just like a gibson it's got the probuckers which is basically the same as the gibson burstbuckers and the vibrato bridge, which allows for some wonderful options. oh and did I mention it looks beautiful!!

There was a shipping problem that caused a cracked and broken neck.
The guitar's neck was cracked near the head and was unplayable. A tuner was bent and would have become a problem. The materials the guitar were made from were less than satisfactory for the price.

As good as a Gibson.
Pleasantly surprised...very little adjustment and the guitar sings.

Great sound for the price
Unboxed the Epiphone SG 61 reissue today. I chose the olive drab version. Great guitar. Pulled it out and felt the light weight of it, rare for a solid mahogany instrument. It's balanced, not top heavy like one might think. Nice slim profile neck is easy to grip. I can bend notes with the 4th finger; something I can't do on my LesPaul. New strings so it took a bit of patience getting it to stay in tune, but it did finally settle in. Then I cranked it on my little Orange practice amp. WOW. Great sound. For the price, I got a great deal. I may buy another one in Cherry. 😄

Amazing!
I ordered this on a Tuesday afternoon and got it on Thursday and it looks beautiful. I expected to have to take it to a shop to get it set up, but it's playable. The frets aren't sharp, but still needs a set up because the strings are a bit high. Feels and plays just as good as my Gibson SG. I'm very pleased with this purchase. I will buy from again

I have heard that the Gibson version does not stay in tune well? this is true, but the Epiphone version appears to stay in tune a lot better. The tremolo is not made for dive bombing only lighter vibrato so be warned, that said it is a great guitar for the price and the new design makes it as close to a Gibson as you could get, great sound if done right and don't worry about the body it is solid mahogany with a veneer on top of the front and back, some people won't like it but it still is a cracking guitar, I would get one now before the price goes up, enjoy! .
