Aurora Professional Strip Cut Paper Shredder/CD/Credit Card Shredder Without Wastebasket, 8-Sheet Strip-Cut No Basket

I’ve been going through all my stuff and getting rid of what I don’t want anymore but my problem was there was a lot of written things and bills that I wouldn’t want other people to see, especially because of identity theft. This paper shredder works great and has been absolutely wonderful! I don’t have to go through my stuff with a big black magic marker blacking out my name and other private information because now I can just shred it and throw it away. I looked through many others and read all the reviews and this one seemed to be the best rated for a reasonable price. I’m so glad I ordered one without a basket because the baskets that come with the other shredders aren’t even close to being big enough. So I found an empty storage bin and put a board across the top so that when I expanded the arm on the shredder it fit fine and then I just emptied the bin into a big black garbage bag. I highly recommend the shredder, and even if you don’t think you need a paper shredder because you don’t have much to get rid of like me, it’s still worth every penny.

This review is for the 8-Sheet StripCut/CD without Basket. If you want to cut mail/bills and do it once a month, this is perfect. I understand it's not the most secure shred, but it's better than tearing it in half a couple times. It easily slides under a chair so you don't have a dedicated shredder with basket or really anything taking up space (which is valuable in my office). I have sent decently fat mailers through it and it bogs a little but if you know it's boundaries its great. I did send a couple credit cards on their mailer through without problem. I was behind many months when it arrived and it's auto shutoff activated and took about 15 minutes. Then I was right back on it and able to finish. I might be asking a lot of the little guy and wear it out prematurely but it's working great now and for the price, ease and convenience, it's great for me.

I love this shredder. It’s so easy to store because it doesn’t have its own collection container. With the expandable feature, it is easy to fit over the top of any receptacle like a garbage pail or small blue bin box. Chews up paper without any issue (I haven’t tried it on a credit card so can’t comment on that function). Would recommend.

My good ole shredder finally had enough. This is the fancier version of what i had. So far so good it seems a little smarter with starts and stops. i hope it turns out to be a workhorse like the one it replaced.
