Purchased this set to resolve a fit issue and this kit gave me the tools necessary to finish the job.

Very durable, the case is nice to keep them stored, true to size, functions well and a great value for the product.

I bought this set to tap the occasional metric hole and chase / renew messed up threads. Very large range of sizes. Taps and dies look good for the money. Decent grinding, no obvious flaws. Tap handles, wrenches and die stocks look so so. The die stock bodies are die castings. Not too concerned about them, have older USA made ones I can use. I imagine they would be OK though. The one fly in the ointment are the case inserts. They are very flimsy plastic. They will not retain the contents. The set arrived with half the contents all over the inside. Don't plan on carrying the case like a suitcase. The contents will get scrambled. I think I will cut pieces of thin plexiglas or heavy cardboard to put over each layer to make sure the contents don't fall out of the wells. Both inserts need to sit in the bottom of the case on top of each other. The one insert will not sit in the top of the case as shown in the photo. Also, one photo shows a thread pitch gauge, this is not included. I have some, so not a big deal. If you need a metric one or a thread checker, order one when you buy the set. Overall a good value for the price, given its one big flaw. Edit / Update - I cut two thin pieces of plastic and put one over each tray. When the case is closed the plastic keeps the contents in the individual wells. Problem solved.

Stripped a nut, this fixed in quick. Went on to strip two bolts, ditto. Good value.

Well made with most of the tap and dies a home owner would need!

Its as to be expected- blow molded case wont latch (plastic too thin)- arrived all mixed up. Both the die holder and the tap holding bar died first use- steel on tap holder jaws bent and stripped threads, screw on die holder so soft butter might hold better- I am afraid to replace with stronger screw- thread gauge thinner than I'd like- but works. Tap and dies...seem ok quality. I needed a metric set for repairs- and will use my other sets holders.

The sizes stamped on the tool is incorrect. I used the m12 1.5 tap but it seemed too small so I miked the result and it was about 11.1 mm or 7/16. not 12 mm (m12). It looks like they used a 7/16 but stamped it 12 mm. I haven't tested the other sizes but if this one is sooo far off the others are not to be trusted. I would like a refund immediately and for other customers to be aware.

Worked perfectly! Had to drill into an old rusted bolt in my washer machine and used these to create a new threading so I can use a smaller bolt to fasten everything down. It worked as advertised!
