Great product all around!
I recently purchased the Down to Earth Organic Alfalfa Meal Fertilizer for my garden, and I am extremely pleased with the results. The product arrived promptly and was well-packaged, with no tears or leaks, ensuring it was in perfect condition upon arrival. From the moment I opened the bag, I could tell that this was a high-quality product. The alfalfa meal has a pleasant, earthy smell and a fine texture that is easy to work into the soil. I appreciate that it’s 100% organic, as I’m committed to using natural products in my garden. I've been using the alfalfa meal in my vegetable garden and flower beds for a few weeks now, and the difference is noticeable. My plants have responded exceptionally well. The vegetable plants are growing more vigorously, with stronger stems and healthier foliage. My flowering plants are blooming more profusely and with more vibrant colors. One of the standout benefits of this alfalfa meal is its ability to improve soil structure and health. It's not just a fertilizer but also a soil conditioner. Since I started using it, the soil in my garden has become more friable and rich, which makes it easier for plants to develop strong root systems. I also appreciate that alfalfa meal provides a slow, steady release of nutrients, which means I don’t have to fertilize as often. The application is straightforward. I mix it into the soil before planting and occasionally top-dress around established plants. The included instructions are clear and easy to follow, making it simple to use even for those who might be new to gardening. Another thing I’ve noticed is an increase in beneficial soil microbes. Alfalfa meal contains natural growth stimulants that encourage microbial activity, which is crucial for healthy soil and robust plant growth. This has made a visible difference in the vitality of my garden. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the Down to Earth Organic Alfalfa Meal Fertilizer. It’s a versatile, effective, and easy-to-use product that has significantly improved the health and productivity of my garden. If you’re looking for an organic way to boost your plants and enrich your soil, I highly recommend giving this alfalfa meal a try. It’s made a remarkable difference in my gardening efforts, and I’m sure it will do the same for you.

Great product!
These products are great for gardening. To be honest, I didn’t even measure, just sprinkled this in my garden beds, and was happily surprised at how much my plants grew. Will be ordering again for sure.

One Go-To Source of Plant Nutrients
Alfalfa meal is dried and finely chopped alfalfa grass. In farming we planted alfalfa for forage and for its nitrogen fixing nodules that helped replenish soil nutrients. In this formulation gardeners have a pleasant to work with natural fertilizer and soil conditioner that 'gently' provides nutrition to plants with reasonable amounts of nitrogen, potassium and phosphates. This is fine for regular use in Spring for pre-planting tillage and in the autumn to help the soil recover a balance of nutrients after garden plants have depleted them. Shoppers may also wish to consider another of my favorites--Kelp meal--if they wish to improve soil structure and if they work soils that are iron deficient. Should you have difficult clay soil as I now have, alfalfa meal and kelp are useful in that they provide a less concentrated level of nutrients per volume and can be used generously without risking 'nutrient burn'' of plant roots.

Natural
I now use this to add to my homemade worm chow, for my worms that are now eating the plants/vegies that I grew last year using this product in a Compost Tea to feed the plants. I'll harvest the worm casting in time to use in the garden this spring to grow more plants/vegies and feed them with Worm Tea using castings rather than Compost. The worms will gets scraps and since I don't like to can anything they will get all that I don't eat. I can only eat so many cucumbers and tomato's etc. and upon final harvest they get the dead plants. Maybe not a full circle since I'm not actually growing Alfalfa but pretty close.
