Classic Car: The Definitive Visual History

This was the best Father’s Day gift for my guy! It’s like a classic car encyclopedia with awesome stories about automobile designers and backgrounds and so many photos and cool information. Great coffee table book and conversation starter. He loves it and so do I!

Got this for my Dad. He LOVES it! He instantly opened it and has been reading it and telling me all the things he's been learning. The book itself is very well made and very sturdy, its heavier than it looks but worth it. The pictures inside are good quality as well.

Got it for my dad for Xmas. He likes it and says he keeps it by his chair and flips through it. Likes learning new things from it.

I was looking specifically for more information on two specific cars - the Studebaker truck and Willys jeep, and although there was a photo of a military jeep (if I recall correctly), I didn't see one Studebaker truck photo, so I decided not to give the book as a gift. Then I thought this might make a good "coffee table book," but I'm not a "car person" and didn't find the book inviting. It seems like an information overload. The print is small and the information wasn't that interesting to me, but it might be perfect for someone else--especially if they relate to the cars mentioned in the description.

Like all DK books the photography and print quality is superb, and if you, or someone you love, has an interest in automobile history, this volume is a bargain. I bought it for my dad and he loves it. It's interesting that there are lots of European cars included when there is a 1st gen Corvette on the cover, but there also lots of American classics offered. In addition to text that adds value to the images, there's also a RH sidebar titled "Future Classics," and those choices have, in many cases, already have collector value. The book is a very high value proposition, and it really delivers!

Very happy with this purchase. Book was brand new and in perfect condition. Very informative with many cars featured. Highly recommend to any fan of classic cars and/cars in general. No complaints.

Got as a birthday present for my classic car loving father. He was barely able to put it down his first week with it. Now it makes an excellent coffee table book in his home.
