I have owned a couple of budget proyectos before (that cost about 200-400$) the las one had 1200ansi (so they said) .. They come no where nere to the brightness of the wemax vogue the image is bright like a giant TV in the night and even in the day perfectly visible if the sun doesn't hit directly.. But that's logic.. Can't imagine that it gets much better to be honest.. I placed mine at 2.9m from the wall and the image is about 3m x 1.6m or something like that. And like I said very bright.. I use a PC connected via hdmi with it (in my opinion the best way to make use of a proyector) and it works great. I also got speaker connected to the pc. So I do not use the apps on the wemax (they seem to work I tested 2) or the speakers (they are functional but great but that's normal) .. Keystone is pure digital but it's fine I had to adjust manually a little bit now it looks perfect.. Autofocus works great. As for the image adjustments I put the whitbalance red color to 1080 (before 1024) Kontrast 60 sharpness to 10 only, now the strange pixalation goes away and the image starts to look very sharp and cine like. A 1080p video looks almost like 4. I did game (gta 5) and even when not in gaming mode i can't feal any image lag. I live in colombia so it's hot clima 32°c every day, but the wemax runs very cool even after hours of use, so I do not fear led burning. I bought it for about 400 $ + import.. I Must say this device feals much more expense.. I'd say like 700-1000$ that what it feals like, quite premium. Image is near perfect colors after the slight boost in reds, and getting rid of the oversharpening, looks exepcionaly great, the only minor downside is a mediocre blacklevel because of the very high brightness. So the image may look slightly better when there is some tambien lighting because it hides the fact that the blacks don't go 100% pitch black.. But I started the movie alien with no lights and you forget it easily after a few minutes... Shadow detail still is great though. I am very happy and would recommend this one over other projectors up until the 800$ price range there it gets interesting but still good cooling is worth a lot and it has still a lot of brightness.. So it still competes in that price range but I guess BenQ, dengbai or LG slightly got better options at 800$ The control feals good and works fine bouncing the signal of the wall, like pointing it to the screen I saw that someone had a problem with this here.

I bought this before I bought couple projectors. but very disappointed with others projectors, because others low quality pictures, louder noice fan, and pictures untrue collar. But this one is the best I see, lowest noice, real 4k natural pictures, and super clear picture, I super recommend this projector, Although it seems that the price is more expensive than others, it is worth buying

The image quality when I first got it was amazing, including great contrast. HOWEVER, a couple weeks into using it, a few pixels started dropping, and over the next week, it now looks like it snowing on my screen from the probably hundreds of pixels now out. Very sad about this, as I enjoyed everything else about this projector, but it essentially died pretty quickly

A lot of the hate on this projector is due to it's questionable software. I've personally never been a fan of any display device with it's own built in smart features (which is practically all of them now a days). Especially because every time you buy a new device you need to learn a new UI, Then you also as apps are developed and updated they tend to get slower due to the hardware limitations of the device running the software. I miss the good old days when the most you can control from display devices themselves was image settings, sound settings, and changing the channel on televisions. A DISPLAY DEVICE doesn't need to be anything more than a DISPLAY DEVICE. Therefore when shopping for a projector I was more concerned about 4 things primarily, In descending order of importance, LUMENS, native resolution, image quality, and sound quality. Software, if it was good and smooth software and hardware running the software that was just a bonus. This projector for the price hit all the right marks. And I bought this when it was twice the current price of when I wrote this review. The image is bright enough to see during the day, not the greatest, but far better than all the other what I would consider toy projectors. After all, what good is a projector's software if you can't even see it? The resolution, it's not 4k display, it's only 4k processing. So it's still a 1080p output. it will make no difference if you try to play 4k content. Your final output will be in 1080p, which is not bad for just movie watching on it every once in a while, or trying to use this as a presentation projector during a meeting or something. Your text will be very clear and legible at 1080p resolution. Heck for the longest 1080p was the 4k. Thirdly, the IOs, while not great, are good enough to use most devices out there. The HDMI will take a DP conversion adaptor or connect to my phone via USBC no problems. detects and displays devices quickly without issues so far. And sound, was a nice surprise that it's full bodied sound for a small space and loud enough to be heard outdoors. It's no concert speaker that's for sure, but it definitely does a decent job if you don't wan to carry a whole set up. As for the software, I really don't use it and wasn't planning to use it. I use a fire stick plugged into it and any media I play on it I use the fire TV stick. It works perfect for my needs and it's portable enough to take it out and about to events. For the price it's hard to find a better projector with this image quality, brightness and sound. Lack of varied input I can deal with at this price point, Just buy an adaptor if needed. Software, just use a fire tv stick or any other streaming device of your choice. You'll enjoy that better, Just got to not lose the remote control of this thing as there is no way of picking your inputs without it as far as I can tell.

The video projector is stellar in all regards except for its software application suite. Just use an Amazon Fire TV Stick HD (newest model) for $20 instead of the bundled applications, to make it perfect. You will not find the price performance level, from this combination, any place else.
