I purchased this stainless steel plate to mount a USB hub with magnets, and it exceeded my expectations! The material is top-notch quality; its thickness is perfect, providing the sturdiness needed to hold multiple magnetic accessories without bending. The 3M adhesive backing is strong and incredibly easy to use. Within minutes, I had it securely installed under a shelf without needing additional tools. It also comes with mounting screws, which is great for more challenging surfaces or if you want a more permanent installation. What I love most is the versatility of this plate. While I use it for my USB hub, its size makes it perfect for magnetic shelves, spice racks, or even creating a customized organizer space in the kitchen or office. Love this steel plate which worked very well to hold magnetized baskets inside a kitchen cupboard for quick access to vitamin supplements and other frequently used items. Chose to install using the adhesive back since didn't want to make holes in wood cabinet doors. Clearance from other items inside cabinet was great since I'd already measured and planned for good clearance. Magnetized baskets held extremely well to steel plates and never moved on their own. A bit tricky to move them if needed, but if careful, was able to nudge up or down as needed to clear the edge of a shelf inside cabinet. Unfortunately, the adhesive did finally fail on the one installed after about one year, so advise to use screws in addition to adhesive if you can on yours, to make sure they don't fall down. Otherwise, I am very happy with these steel plates and plan to buy more.
