Received this light about a week ago, and instantly pulled it out, charged it, and tried it out while crocheting with black yarn(if u know about black yarn u know😮‍💨) I noticed immediately the rectangular light was putting out light, but not enough to truly help with what I was using it for. So I tried the spotlight out, and man it made a huge difference. I'm not sure why one light is so much brighter than the other, but have since switched over to using the spotlight anytime I crochet and it does the job. Overall, this is a really cool design. Love that the rectangle part of the light swivels 180 degrees, and even moves up and down too. I also love the fact that you can press and hold the button on rectangle light and can dim the light if needed. Although I prefer using everything as bright as possible, I'm sure it's useful for some. It's really comfortable around my neck too. It doesn't irritate or anything. Also love the fact that you can press the button and change the type of light on the rectangular one. Only con is the rectangle light just isn't bright enough. 😕 I attached a few pics to try to show what I'm talking about. The 1st pic is of the rectangle light. 2nd pic is spot light. 3rd pic shows the rectangle light on and pointed directly at my chest(to see brightness) and 4th light shows the rectangle light pointed at my chest, and spotlight pointed outward. I think u can clearly see the difference in that 4th pic. Edited on 4/6/24- Wow, I am pleasantly surprised! A few days after my review went live, someone from the company reached out to talk to me about my concerns. In the 1st email they sent, they offered to send a replacement free of charge-bc it sounded like the light I got was maybe a bit defective. I was blown away, and so amazed by them reaching out to me about replacing their product for free. This is how a company should be with customers! They legit went out of their way to reach out to offer a replacement, and well as sending it out and getting the new one to me within days of talking to them. If you are on the edge about purchasing this light, just do it. Seriously. You have nothing to lose. On top of sending me the new light, they also wouldn't accept the old one back. So I just kept it and will use it for back up when I need to charge the replacement they sent. Overall, I'm blown away by the support and customer service I've received from this company. They stand behind their product, and it really shows. The light is phenomenal. Like I stated before, I use it for crocheting and don't know how I crocheted before without it. Both lights are extremely bright, but not so bright it'll mess with someone sitting beside or near you. The light is focused on a decent sized area directly where you point it to be. Love all of the features of this light, but I really do love the customer support more. Just buy this light already. It's not heavy on the neck(I crochet hours a day. Sometimes upwards of 6-8 hrs) and the light never causes any issues with my neck. It's comfortable and does exactly what the company says it does. I'm in love. I really want to buy a few more for hurricane season(which we're currently in) I think they are so useful for a multitude of situations. The last 4 pics are from the new device they sent me. The lights are really bright, and I've used this a couple of times to add a bit of light to my photos. The lights hold position super well and are not a strain on the neck. For reading in bed, I like to use the light bar with the yellow light (I guess blue/white light is bad before bed). These lights are also not too bad for comfort in bed. The back is kinda large and noticeable when lying down to read, but it does not hurt or affect reading time due to discomfort. I highly recommend this light. Feels and performs better than its low price of $20. Feels like a $40 light 100%.

Great item! Very strong light, makes reading in the dark extremely easy. It's also very lightweight, I barely notice it sitting around my neck. I can't recommend this too highly.

I stumbled upon this while searching for a lamp and I'm so glad I got this! It's perfect for embroidery and I love the 3 different shades of light. The little spotlight is perfect, as well. Long battery life and, if you forget to recharge it, you can charge while using. Love it!

Works well. Doesn’t come with a case. Keep looking if you want one that comes with safe place to store it when not in use. Light is good and is adjustable. Not uncomfortable on my neck.

One month in, and no issues of any kind! Well made! My family member with glaucoma and cataracts absolutely loves it -- the simple on and off buttons are easy to feel as well as the dim button! The Wide angle light's range covers the laptop keyboard with ease, and better yet, no light glare reflecting onto the laptop monitor! The Spot light on the other end is very crisp and sharp for dark hall ways; even night-time bathroom visits! LOL Price point is spot on, so much so, I will purchase one for myself to read and craft with!

I bought this as a gift for a knitter as I already have one to use with my needlework. It holds a charge for a long time, it is easy to adjust and is comfortable to wear. It is a very good value for the money.

This book light is so great. I had been searching for a reading light for my 6yr old daughter and only seemed to find the kind that clipped onto the book, which looked annoying if the book wasn’t hard cover or would get heavy to hold. This style popped up and it has been so effortless to use. I just started using it also for knitting and hand sewing! I love how easy it is to adjust the direction of the light and that it has a dimmer! Can’t say enough good things. Very sturdy and looks like it’ll last a while. Can’t beat this price!

I am thoroughly enjoying my book light. It is so adjustable light weight I could wear it around the house all day. For bedtime reading the light is perfect. I do have a Kindle Reader but at night I prefer a real book. And it was hard to find a table lamp that worked for lighting up my page. The around my neck and adjustable light and flashlight is perfect. I can see it being the go to for plane travel.

This was purchased for reading but can totally see how it could be useful in a power outage as well. Will try it camping next year. The turning light would be great and it can be charged with my small solar charger. I also like the choices in light types. It is helpful when trying not to disturb others. I like that it doesn't have to be clipped to the page and moved as the pages are turned. So comfortable I have fallen asleep with it on.

Works well. I always struggled to have enough light to read in bed. This new device allows excellent light intensity with options for type of light. Adjusts well to allow light to shine on required space. Does not feel uncomfortabl.e

It was a gift. She loves it. It fits around her neck just right and gives her lots of light to read. The battery is okay, remember to charge it when not in use.
