Schutt F7 VTD Collegiate

Bought my son a Large for Xmas, but he's already outgrown it- so just brought in an XL for the new season.Schutt makes a great helmet. 5 Star Safety Rated and excellent construction. The F7 VTD Collegiate is a little less expensive than some others, but it tests out higher and I actually like it more. As a Coach, I know player safety comes before everything else. You don't compromise on your helmet.I also like the fact that all F7 facemask styles fit all F7 helmets. He's playing Defensive line this season, so I swapped out the skill position mask for a cage. Can't wait for practices to start next week.Just a note on sizing and fit. The Size guide is accurate, but if you're on the higher end of a size range I'd definitely consider moving up to the next one. It comes with two sets of jaw pads (1/2 and 1/4") to accommodate different facial widths. Other sizes are available from Schutt.The leather pad over the TPU Cushioning on the forehead has a removable layer of padding and the helmet liner is inflatable. (Make sure you only use a helmet needle- not a basketball one).It also comes with instructions for properly fitting a helmet. This is important. A helmet should be snug. One that's too tight is uncomfortable and one that's too loose is dangerous.Just a tip from someone who has coached for decades.

This is a quality product. I have purchased the model prior to this helmet. I can see the upgraded features. It looks really good as well. Totally recommend this helmet for your high school football player.

After doing a lot of research on helmet safety we decided on this helmet for our freshman football player. The helmet fit very well without adjustment. After completion of the season, the helmet and our football player are in great shape.

So sad to have opened the package to find that the helmet arrived without the face mask as promised in the description. This is my son’s big Christmas gift and it will be a let down.

This helmet was pricey but well worth the money , bought it for my grandson and it looks terrific and fits great. He says it’s very comfortable. Would buy again

The media could not be loaded. Bought this for my 13 old son who is in his 3rd season of tackle football and I wanted the safest helmet out there, I watched all the reviews of the Riddel speedflex vs the Schutt F7 they pretty much came in with same results for safety and comfort, results are awesome. So what made me buy the Schutt over the F7 was the price difference, you save close to 200 dollars buying Schutt helmet with equal or better safety standards. Hope this helps.

Son love it

The helmets didn't bring the Schutt sticker in the forehead. We have not used them yet at training. I will change my review if necessary. They look perfect anyway.
