A Court of Frost and Starlight

I have been waiting for months for the release of this book!! And I just finished it in a single sitting!! This book deserves all the stars!! This is more of an extended epilogue.. About what happens after the war with Hybern.. The previous books deal with the plot, twists and war.. However this one deals with the characters.. The repercussion of war on each of them, the way it has affected them.. I just fell more in love with every character.. A lot more with Feyre and Rhysand.. There were parts that made me understand the pain and feel so bad and there were other parts where i had happy tears!! 5 STARS!!

It was mainly story after the War and basically winter solstice. Buying gifts, healing, family times. Allover a Good read.

A Court of Frost and Starlight is a glimpse into what normal looks like for these central characters after the war. Thousands of lives were lost, people left scarred for life. Elain and Nesta are dealing with their newfound immortality and power. Feyre is busy building Velaris and Rhys, Cassian and Azriel are helping the Illyrians train better. The wall is gone and the threat that lies on each side of the wall is real. The short novel provides an insight into the minds of all these characters and more. ACOFAS is all about realizations and love for each other. The book is more like a happy ride on a sunny day. We get to see our favorite characters in their cheesiest, most funny and sometimes brooding self. It acts as a filler to the otherwise, impossibly long ACOTAR series while the fans wait for the next book. While I expected more from the book, the author made it a point to present to us the same characters with zero development. Amren is still a conversation killer, Lucian- a confused soul, Elain- trying to cope up and Nesta- still with an ego that lives in the Illyrian mountains. Feyre continues to regret everything and paint her pain. Rhys is still thinking about sleeping with Feyre at all times. This is the true essence of the series but after a devastating war, I did expect a bit more from the characters other than reminiscing about their past at every given moment. The good part about the book is that it is a light-hearted one and manages to fill one’s heart with hopes and joys. There are a lot of new promises made by the characters which point us towards another book in the series, a glimpse of which shows that it will explore Nesta and Cassian’s relationship. The book is definitely worth looking forward to and I hope S. J. Maas gives us a different love story this time. The writing style is the same- simple, fast-paced, and overly dramatic. The plot does get slow at times, especially since she also tries to include the first three books as random memories while taking a walk. According to me, this book was quite unnecessary as the author takes a lot of time in her novels to convey the mental state of her characters and help readers catch up as much as they can with the past events. This is one of the reasons her books are humungous and I am sure we will see a lot of ACOFAS in her next book too. I say, read the book if you wanna take a break from everything, including giving a rest to your otherwise active mind. Or, wait for the next book.

most people say they were disappointed with this book but it was a fun read and it was interesting to get a look in their day to day lives definitely recommend reading it

Consistently good as all the other Court of Roses and Thone series. This book in the series touches the heart in many times.

While I'm completely aware that this is a novella that has made SJM fans wrench their hair out, I actually quite liked the book. We got to see so much more than war or battles. It's like a bridge between the next novel and the 3rd instalment so I don't really mind the length or the depth of the novel.

In love with the book as with every other book of Sarah J. Maas. A story of restoration of peace after war and of rest, as was required, after 3 books of confounding twists and turns and jittery suspense!

Mi è piaciuto molto, lo consiglio!

Sağlam şekilde elime geçti. Diğer kitaplara kıyasla çok daha kısa. Ara/bağlayıcı kitap gibi ancak yine de anlam bütünlüğü için atlanmadan okunması lazım. Edebi yönü hafif, ama okuması akıcı ve keyifli bir seri.
