Definitely blocks the light and adds a layer of privacy.
In all honesty I couldn't give it a 4 stars because I was the one that didnt measure my windows and bought the wrong size. What I will say however, it was so easy to cut to size and even easier to install. I just added just a bit of dawn soap to the water like less than a dime drop and sprayed the window down then placed the privacy cover on the window. I love the thickness of film as well as the fact that it blocks the heat. I went with the black out as a double protection; block the light as much as possible where I actually placed it but also privacy as my apartment is not he first floor and my bedroom window is adjacent to the parking lot and my cat loves to go not eh windowsill. (and no, I do not have curtains as I did not want to drill more holes in the wall that I would have to patch when I was moving). I do have blinds but they do let in some light. Will buy again but maybe in a different color for a different room. It looks so good from inside and there is a little contrast when you are outside looking at it.

Great for Privacy while allowing light to come in.
I read a lot of reviews on these types of films for you window and almost all for Rabbitgoo were positive. Not sure how exactly they would stay on the window without any adhesive, but it has. It was very easy to install and the cutting was easy. I also ordered rabbitgoo's kit with the waterbottle, cutter and squeegee. They helped, however when cutting the excess off around the window, use a credit card. The film has only been up a few days and looks great and gives great privacy while letting light come throug the window. This window gets direct sunlight with hot temperatures and also gets freezing temperatures. We will see how it holds up after a year or so.

Good Product for Multiple Uses
I’ve purchased the translucent/frosted version multiple times as I install it in our front door from around Halloween until after Christmas to use as a screen for projecting digital decorations. It is easy to install and works great for what I use it for. It may be re-usable year-to-year, though I’ve never tried as lining it up after initially cutting it may be tricky. The rest of the year we put up the reflective film. It blocks the sun nicely and still allows pets to look out the window. People can’t see in during the day, but at night when it’s dark out and lights are on inside, you can easily see in, but that is expected. All in all a good product.

Completely blackout!!
This is exactly what I was looking for and I’m so happy I took the risk and bought it. In the photos I attached, you’ll see the before and after or the window I wanted to cover. Let me explain the second image. The glass on my window is frosted and I initially put the film on the inside of the window. You can see in the photo how it didn’t adhere well and left a ton of air bubbles and ripples no matter how much I tried to smooth it out. It fell off in less than a hour. The third photo is of the film on the other side of the window and you can see it worked perfectly. It adhered and was very easy to work the air bubbles out of and left it completely smooth and flawless. All this to say, if you have a frosted glass window, I recommend putting it on the smoothest side which might sound obvious at first but it depends on which side you wanted it to be on (indoor v outdoor for example). Let me tell you about the installation process now. It’s pretty simple but you definitely need to take your time. It’s going to look ugly and imperfect if you rush at all because the film is delicate and cuts like butter. I followed the instructions that were included and attempted to leave a little excess on all sides to trim it perfectly after it stuck on the window. This method was very difficult for me personally since I was doing it alone so it slipped around quite a bit if I needed to hold it firmly to make a cut. I ended up ruining one section just trying to trim it to fit the window. After that, I measured the window precisely, I’m talking down to the sixteenth of an inch and cut it exactly to the measurement of my window. It made it so much easier to put it on for me and it looks great. If you use this method, take your time. Measure twice and cut once as they say. Use something straight to trace the lines all the way down the material so you can make a clean cut. I recommend using an exacto knife or razor blade for the best cut although scissors did cut it with no problem. The most important thing for the entire process it to take your time and go slowly. Aside from cutting it out, the installation is easy. Just clean your window thoroughly, spray it with water, spray the adherent side of the film with water, and apply it. The only thing I wish was different is that it came with a squeegee. I didn’t have one small enough to fit the corners so I used a credit card which worked fine but I like the idea of them including a tiny squeegee with it in case you really don’t have anything to use. You get a good amount on the roll and could use it for several windows depending on the size. Overall, this is exactly what I was looking for and I’d recommend it to anyone. It’s easy to install, looks sleek, and sticks on well!!

Happy Nudes
I recently tried a peel and stick window film, and it worked perfectly for our needs. As a nudist household, we wanted privacy without losing natural light, and this film delivered exactly that. It was easy to apply, stuck well without any bubbling, and can be removed cleanly if needed. The frosted finish gives a soft glow while keeping everything private. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a simple, effective, and non-permanent privacy solution.

My friend helped me install in my study, as the window leads to a shared pathway on property. I love how I can now leave blinds open and still have privacy from my neighbours walking by. I work from home full time, so this has greatly improved my working space. Before the peel and stick film, I had to close the blinds all day. Now I get natural light. Love the product so much, have even used on upstairs bathroom windows. Recommend two ppl to install, and using low bubble chemical to mix with water. Some ppl use baby shampoo, but I used hyper allergenic shower gel. It has the same effect and the less bubbles means less air bubbles under the film, but still sticks perfectly

Recomendado

I don't write a ton of reviews but I am impressed with this product. As the title says, I was expecting this to be a bit of a hassle to install (which is why I put it off for a while). After measuring, cutting and installing the first one, I did all the rest of my windows fairly quickly. The privacy factor is great, ample sunlight comes through and no more messy, dusty sheer curtains. The fact that you only need water and science to stick this on is fantastic. You can make slight adjustments after putting it on, etc. Cutting off the excess edges was simple, too (helps if you have a square ruler). That said, I just installed them so I'm hoping they hold up over weeks, months and years, winter/summer, etc. We'll see. Overall, I was dreading this a bit, thinking it would be like trying to get the bubbles out of those mobile phone screen protectors, but nope! As long as you have the tools they suggest, this should be no problem. Plus, it won't leave any residue if you choose to remove them later on. Nice!
