Awesome
I was so excited to find this when I needed to design a t-shirt for someone. It made is so much easier for me to draw out each piece then use this to trace each piece onto a larger paper. It is also fun for me to just use for whatever and also for my daughter to use for her art projects she comes up with. The magnets work great to hold the paper in place while tracing and the light is very bright so you can see the lines of whatever picture you want to trace.

Nice and bright.....comes with magnets to hold artwork....
I purchased this light box to help with viewing photo slides and negatives. Works very well. Nice bright light which is evenly lite from edge to edge. I found this white light source to also work well when taking pictures of objects placed on top, if you want to have a white background. Easy to use!My only criticism is that the light only has four soft feet on the bottom, two on left and two on the right. Would be nice to have feet on the back at the top center and bottom center to help make the light box more sturdy. It tends to bow in the center when adding pressure to the top of the unit when drawing. I will probably get some feet at a hardware store to accomplish this. Unit is nice and thin and I love the switches on the left.P.S. This unit also comes with a wall adapter and usb cable for power. Get power from the wall or just plug the usb cable into your computer for power. The usb cable is at least 5 feet long which is really nice. Rich

Works well to view xrays
Really like the ease of use and how well it illuminates the X-ray at the front desk of my husbands chiropractic office.

Pretty good little Light Pad
On the whole, I like this light pad. It is lightweight, has varying degrees of light, it SAYS on the instructions that it doesn't put out radiation I don't know that the others do, but I HOPE not. It comes with four little magnets for holding your papers down and a cord that is pretty long. The price of $21 was pretty good. I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 because the ad lead me to believe that you plug it into a USB and charge it up and then it becomes portable. Not the case. You plug it into a USB via an adapter which then has to go into an electric socket and you are married to the cord hanging off the machine and tethered to the electric socket you are using. For $21 dollars, I am willing to work on my attitude about the gadget NOT being portable, lol.

Brighter than iPhone 6s+, when both are at their brightest setting.
Things you should know: THIS WORKS SEPARATE AND APART FROM THE COMPUTER!!! It is not a tablet, it is not a screen, it is not a monitor, it does not connect to the computer in any way EXCEPT to provide power, which can also be accomplished through an outlet on the wall. So what the heck is it? It provides light through a sheet of paper or film so you can trace. It allows you to view items like an x-ray film, photo slide, photo negatives, etc. I bought it so I can draw my pictures, and then trace the finished work on card stock to make greeting cards without the need to erase sketch pencil marks. It has three buttons on the side of the light box. One is the power switch. The other two are brighten and dimmer switches. How bright is it? I have an iPhone 6s+. If I open a white note page and turn my iPhone light all the way to the top, and turn the light on the light box as bright as it can get, the light box is brighter than my iPhone 6s+. You can see pencil marks on a sheet of paper through heavy card stock. That being said, I have had plenty of experience with LED lights, or objects containing them. In my experience, LEDs can fade and burn out if they are left on for a length of time. SO, if you are not using the light box, do not leave the light on. Another thing to remember is the intensity of the light can effect the light’s lifespan (light span?). So I suggest that you keep the light turned down as low as you can tolerate. What is the surface made of? It looks and feels like glass, but I think it’s just a high quality form of plastic.Does it feel flimsy? Not at all. It feels very strong, for a $30 piece of equipment. Most light boxes do not provide a wall outlet ( which is why so many people confuse it with a computer tablet...the seller recommends plugging it into your computer for power). However, this light box is equipped with an outlet. It also come with four magnets to hold your paper on the light box. I have not tried using the magnets for this purpose, but I have tried sticking them on the light box surface, and they appear to be rather strong. The cords seem very strong in their port holes, and do not appear to wiggle.I do think the one I received was a return, based on the fact that the film protector on the glass and plug were peeled away from the surface. But it still works. I only hope the previous owner did not leave it on for a long time before returning it.
