I love the Mary Ruth’s brand of L-theanine, I have tried other brands, but this is the only one that consistently makes me calm and more importantly, as someone who suffers from insomnia, upper airway resistance syndrome, and fibromyalgia, which all impair my sleep quality, it improves my sleep quality dramatically when taken before bed. I take it under the tongue for faster absorption. Then I wake up feeling significantly refreshed, which has not happened with any other brands I’ve tried. I love that it’s natural and so easy to take, not another pill to have to swallow. It’s pleasant tasting, pretty sweet but has no sugar, just glycerin, so that’s fine. I like the synergy it has with my sleep meds of not making me more drowsy or sedated. It does not make me sleepy, not even like melatonin, but it simply allows me to feel much more refreshed with the same number of hours of sleep when I wake up. I also am one that tends to get super anxious and jittery from caffeine sometimes.
