3924C Log Saw Blade 24"

Sharp, strong, good for gardening or for timber cutting.

This saw blade is extremely sharp and fitted into my existing saw frame perfectly, but…beware…it does NOT come with a cover. I have had to fashion a piece of plastic to cover the blade while it is not in use. If it had been supplied with a cover it would have got 5 out of 5 stars!

These blades are hard wearing and will easily cut through both branches and small tree trunks. Further, they are easy to fit into the Spear and Jackson 24 inch Bow Saw, however due to the hooking mechanism some bow saws use they will not fit all bow saws. In addition they provide excellent value at this price – I would normally expect to pay at least £5 for a replacement blade.

This blade is excellent. I got it fixed to my bow saw (easy) then I went to test it out. I decided to test it with a particularly gnarly lump of old hard seasoned Hawthorn. I had been trying to cut this with my previous blade, and it was taking me 250-300 saw cuts to get through it....and a lot of sweat in this weather. So I had dumped the piece of wood on one side. I have to get the winter wood sorted out during summer time so have to saw wood daily. Well, I thought I'd just try cutting one piece to test the blade. It was such a pleasure to do, I ended up cutting up the whole lot! It took 30-40 saw cuts though each slice with his super sharp blade instead! This has honestly made my day.
