Lion Brand Yarn - 24/7 Cotton - 6 Skein Assortment (Ocean)

This is a strong yarn, which seems to be braided instead of twisted. Consequently, it doesn’t split, which is very nice. The colors are beautiful. I only wish that I could mix it with my other yarns, but the texture is too different.

Good stitch definition, no splitting at all. Almost no stretch to it so if you are more used to acrylic this might bother you. It is not the softest, but that’s why the other qualities are so good. These colors are gorgeous…although 3 are more blue green while 3 are more true blue, so I decided to use them separately.

Easy to work with and the colors are beautiful.

I really like this yarn and will probably check out more from Lion Brand now. The colors go well together but mostly I love how clean it is as far as there is no fraying of the yarn and stitches are well defined in appearance because of it. The clean stitching also makes it great for beginners because you can really have a good view of where to put your next stitch. I am sure I will be buying more of this brand for other projects.

Product was of good quality. It was as described and what I expected.

There is a pattern in the Spring/Summer #24 Nora magazine that I’m going to use this for, making a gradient from bottom to top using this yarn. It’s soft and easy on the hands. The pack also saved me from having to put the yarns together myself. I’ll definitely be buying some of the other kits as I have a variety of skirts made from recycled sari fabric that these colors are vibrant enough to go with them and enough sheen to them to not detract from the sheen of the silk.

I love this cotton yarn and will definitely purchase again. I have made several washcloths for myself and as gifts. It works up nicely, and I had no issues with separation of the yarn while using it.
