High quality with a strong motor.
This cordless rotary tool works very well and lasts quite awhile in between charges. It is not too heavy and very durably made. It is very comfortable for me to hold and use. They included accessories make it a great value. I gave it five stars.

Performance and quality well above expected for the price
When my beloved Dremel Lite finally gave up the ghost (the spindle became unseated making it impossible to keep it true), I wanted to replace it with something that had a little more power behind it. I had heard very good things about the previous generation of the Depstech 8v and this had some features that I haven't seen any other rotaries. I didn't have the biggest budget, so when there was a temporary price drop I went ahead and ordered this with fingers crossed. This thing is an outstanding rotary tool at any price. The motor is a beast. I work a lot with stock reduction of stainless steel and with my carbide burrs, this thing cuts through 304 like butter while the vibration stays very low! Grinding, cutting and sanding, both wood and steel are a pure delight. The ergonomics are very well thought out. It's a bit longer than most in this power range, and it helps tremendously when doing fine detail work. The light attachment is made without threads and can be turned to cast light where you need it without the body getting in the way. My favorite physical feature, however is the spindle lock button. I accidentally hit these buttons on every rotary tool I use more often than I care to admit. I think, in fact, that it's what did the ol Dremel Lite in, eventually. This is never a problem with this tool, as they have designed it such that the spindle lock cannot be engaged while the power button is slid to the on position. I know that for me, this will definitely increase the lifespan of the tool. I doubt I'm alone in that. The battery life is simply phenomenal. As is the charging time. It actually charges far more quickly than the 4v Dremel Lite. I don't know how they managed this. It could be voodoo for all I care. If you're on the fence and need a quality rotary tool to do hard jobs, this is the one you want!

Great tool
Not as powerful as I had hoped, but works great. Like how it has USB C charging port

Solid product
This product is solid. I didn't realize how much I needed a Dremel-style tool until I got one. I bought it initially to help me fix a door catch that wasn't quite catching. The versatility of the tool have me using it in many other scenario including the recent "sharpening" job I did with my lawnmower blade. It is very easy to use and reminds me of the "the name brand" product. It comes with several useful attachments and it has the ability to adjust the speed/torque. It isn't too loud when using it either. I bought it during a small sale but it is a good value (again) when compared to the name brand product you can get from the big box stores. A bonus is the case which helps keep everything neat!

Great quality and long battery life.
Great rotary tool. Good long battery life as well. Wish I had these much sooner. The chuck did get overtightened and won't release now. So we probably have to buy another one. But other than that, we have seen flawless performance.

Works Great for Dog Nail Grinding
mainly use this tool for trimming my dog’s nails and it works really well. The cordless design makes it easy to handle, and the different speed settings help keep the process safe and smooth. It’s powerful enough to grind down thick nails without causing discomfort. The kit comes with plenty of attachments, so it can also be used for small DIY projects, but for me it’s been especially useful as a pet nail grinder.

Quality item. Not easy to use
Heavy duty tool that is a help with fabricating model railroad buildings. Does the job but not easy to use. Changing the attachments is cumbersome. Unit rather thick and hard to reach in small places. It is quality item and worth the money. Just my personal opinion

It works for a considerable amount of time per charge
This review is for: DEPSTECH Cordless Rotary Tool Kit, 8V 2.0Ah Rechargeable Battery, 30000RPM 5-Speed Multi Power Carving Tools, 127Pcs Accessories, Shield Attachment, Cutting/Drilling Guide for Handmade/DIY Creations I am very pleased and surprised that a battery powered rotary tool could be as powerful and last as long as it does per charge. Of course if you have to operate it at the highest speed, you will not enjoy as long of a work time, but when I was using it, I did not have to go all the way to the 5 setting. It worked for about 30 mins or more at level 3 where I did most of my cutting work and even longer at level 2 where I did my sanding work. And this operation was continuous operation for that time, not a lot of start and stop. Doing that for 30 mins continuously will leave you wanting a break. Now it does take a while to recharge, but I just did other things while that was happening. But let me start at the beginning. I love the case that it came in. The case is very sturdy and the latches are ones that will last for a long time. The tool itself is what I would consider a standard size for a rotary tool and easy to hold on to. Like all rotary tools, the vent holes for air circulation are where your hands end up a lot of the time which makes the tool heat up if you don't move your hand around to give it air. All of the rotary tools that I have owned are all the same way. Not sure how they could solve this problem. But, even though the tool gets warm, it did not burn up and die. It did not seem to be effected by the temperature and it did not get too hot to hold. The battery powered motor has a great deal of power. It seemed comparable to the power that my last corded tool had and I did not have to deal with a cord getting in the way. It has 5 speeds with an LED indicator for the speeds, it has LEDs to show battery life, and it has a overpower protection feature where if you operate it too aggressively, it will stop and the LEDs will flash to inform you that you have overpowered it. To operate the tool again, you just simply turn off the tool, wait for the LEDs to stop flashing and then turn the tool on again. This is a great feature and should keep the tool in good shape for a long time. It comes with a charging cable, but not a charger. Many would consider this a negative and yes it would be nice to get a charger with it, but today there are so many chargers laying around a house from previous cell phones and the like that many vendors no longer supply them. I would just suggest that you choose a charger that has a lot of power so it will shorten the charge time. It comes with a nice manual in many languages. It comes with many assorted bits and attachments that you would normally use such as cutting blades, sanding bits, grinding bits, drilling bit, brushes, polishing and engraving attachments. It also has an attachment used for grout removal and a plastic shield to protect you eyes when using the tool. It has different size chuck inserts to accommodate various size bit stems. The bits are stored in a nice plastic box that fits nicely into the case. This case is compact and does not take up a lot of room. I have provided a video about how I used this tool to see its potential. I am making a Gnome garden for my front yard and I had a large piece of a pine tree that I wanted to carve out to look like a drive way for the gnomes. This pine stump was aged for about a year out in the weather and the wood was fairly hard. I needed to carve out the driveway with something and I elected to try this rotary tool on it. I first tried the cutting wheel that came with the set. It cut into the wood, but I could see that this was going to take a long time doing it this way and I was not sure how I would be able to get the correct shape with that wheel. However, from my last rotary tool, I have a bigger cutting wheel which this tool had no trouble powering, but I still was not getting the results that I wanted. I then found a router bit that I had bought separately for my old rotary tool. Just want to make it clear that this router bit did not come with this set and does not usually come with any rotary tool set that I have purchased in the past. However, these bits are available usually where rotary tools are sold and this rotary tool had no problem using it. The stem fit securely in the chuck and the motor had enough power on setting 3 to operate the bit perfectly. To clear out all of the wood material from that stump took three chargings of the rotary tool. You may think that is excessive, but I assure you it was not. I estimate the tool lasted about 30 mins or more on a single charge. After grinding out wood on that stump for 30 mins, I was ready for a break. The hole that I cut out was close to two inches deep and possibly one and a half inches wide. Trying to cut this out by hand would have been a challenge with carving tools and I was very happy with the way this tool allowed me to shape the driveway. After grinding out the wood, I started using the sanding spools to smooth out the cuts. The spools were very effective in smoothing out the wood, but I was operating the sanders on level three and after using the sander for about a minute, the sanding belts on the spools would just spin off. I destroyed about 5 of the spools before I realized that I was using them at too high a speed. I was causing them to get hot and the temperature melted the glue and caused them to fail. As soon as I moved the speed down to level 2, the sanding was still efficient, but the spool lasted for the rest of the time which was a long time. I sanded the driveway smooth, then patched up any cracks in the wood with wood filler, then sanded it again to remove any excess filler, then I filled the cracks in the wood on the rest of the stump and then sanded them. So, that one spool at the correct speed probably could have completed the entire sanding job. When I was done sanding, I checked the spool and there was still considerable sanding surface on the spool. Since I was sanding a an angle most of the time, the tip of the sanding spool was more worn than the rest. So, I could just turn the spool around on the bit shaft and make the other end of the spool the tip and sanded a bunch more. I have included a still photo of the stump so I hope you can get an idea of the depth of the driveway and how nicely this rotary tool worked to achieve that result. The only negative things about this tool are that charging time takes a while and as I said when you hold the tool in a golf grip, you cover up the vent holes some time. Every rotary tool I have owned has the vent hole problem and as far as charging time, since the battery is not removable, it is just a necessity to have a long charging time to have a long operating time. But, the positive that makes the charging time worth it is that you do not have to contend with a cord. So, I see no reason not to give this tool 5 stars. I hope this review provides you with enough information to make a decision about purchasing one. I am very happy with mine.

Had it a week or so now, used it 30-40 times. Does everything well. The attachments are good and the shank doesn't slip. Power and run time are fine. The carry case is nice and neat. I really like the attachable guard and led light.

Der Dremel funktioniert super. Sowohl für kleine als auch für große Vorhaben ist er bestens geeignet. Der Akku hält bisher ausreichend lange und lädt auch sehr schnell.
