Beautiful frying pan. I have only used it a few times but it is a pleasure to cook with.

I bought this 7" pan over a month ago and use it every day. I bought a lid for it because I like basted eggs (that cook in their own steam). I read the reviews about how horrid the pan is and how it sticks. So I experimented--maybe not deliberately sometimes. IT REALLY IS NONSTICK for eggs, but you MUST not use high heat. Maybe other models of GreenPan can take high heat, but for eggs, use low heat only. My stove is electric, with heat from Low to 11. I use 2 and it takes six minutes to heat it just right for eggs (when a tiny drop of water barely sizzles). The way it works is that when the eggs are ready (the yolk is milky instead of bright yellow orange), they seem to lift themselves off the pan, as if they have risen a tiny bit on air or maybe water the egg whites that expands or steams when they cook. You can actually see this. Carefully slide just the edge of a plastic or nylon (better) spatula under one side of the eggs, not even all the way under, and kind of peel them and slide them from the pan to your plate. If you get the pan too hot, they stick badly. But that happened once, and I just cleaned the pan with water and it cleaned nicely with no loss of function. I've also wiped the pan with an oily paper towel, which makes it easier for sure to get the eggs out, but once you develop the technique, oil is actually completely unnecessary. It's a nice weight of pan, sits flat without the handle pulling it down, and the handle is nice to use, too. It heats evenly on my small element, probably due to the flatness and thickness of the pan's bottom. I haven't used it for other cooking. I just got it specifically for eggs, and it's perfect if you just don't overheat the pan. I suggest using an oiled paper towel (very lightly oiled) the first week or so using it until you understand how the eggs pull away from the pan a bit when they cook, allowing you to slide the spatula under. I always use the spatula upside down--it seems to work better that way. This is a very nice product, and if I needed a full set I would buy one. I just bought a lovely set of stainless steel, though, so it will be a while. The bonus is that it's soooo inexpensive!!!! I'd say that makes it a best buy.

I had a Green Pan frypan for many years and finally had to replace it. I tried one or two other brands but for the price I prefer this one. This pan seems to wash easily and I’m pleased with the results.

I love these. This is my second one. Very good quality. Just treat is with respect. Don't over heat the pan and don't scratch it.
