I absolutely love this soil! It’s super chunky, nothing like traditional soil. I’ve used this for three weeping willow bonsai sticks that needed to go into soil. Initially, I bought a bag of bonsai soil off Etsy. That is much more soil like. I initially planted one of the three sticks in that soil blend. Once I planted the other two in this chunky mix, I pulled the other one out and planet it in this mix instead. It keeps everything surprisingly secure, no bugs. It’s a good size bag. It was able to fill up three small training pots with some leftover. I will have to wait and see how they grow in it.

I was annoyed with the broken bag. There is no soil mixture in here, so the picture is a bit misleading. It is a bag of quarter inch various rocks. I’m not only using this for bonsai but also for my orchids. Provides excellent drainage.

I bought this to maintain the beautiful bunch of orchids you see in the picture. I changed the soil and she has been doing well. I bought this soil bc there are so many great reviews and I now agree with them. I would buy the again!

I buy this for my aloe Vera plant. I don’t have a green thumb but this soil helps my plant stay healthy.

This soil was holding a lot more water than the previous soil I have been using for years. I added about 20% sand and the plants are much happier.

Great price for bonsai soil and it allows the drainage that is needed for bonsai.
