Great bang for buck unit
Very easy to install. Great instructional videos from the QR code on installation manual. Everything works as advertised and is definitely keeping our space as cool as we like it with ease.Note: Most if not all split units constantly blow air on the indoor unit and the outdoor condenser will only kick on when needed to drop the indoor temp. This unit is very quiet but I could see it being bothersome if right above a bed or couch. Place accordingly!

I would do it again
I ordered this unit on Aug 2nd and it was delivered on Aug 6th. That's pretty incredible for a big item like this. After receiving the unit and reading all the instructions, I spent several days installing a new circuit & getting the wire pulled to power the unit, installing the inside wall bracket & getting the hole made for the line set and unit's com line to exit the building, and attaching a wall mount (purchased separately) for the outside unit. Installing the inside & outside units was a "two-man job", but probably only because I'm 83 and not the man I once was. The installation was complete and the unit working by that afternoon, so total of about 4 hours, and testing was easy and quick. Of course, living in Florida means that I can't test the heat function because it never goes below 63 in the summer here. The unit has been running in a very hot, humid environment for over a month now and is flawless and without any requirement for attention. My only irritation was that AFTER RECEIVING THE UNIT I found that MrCool recommends that you hire a professional electrician to set up the power. Fortunately, I have quite a lot of experience in that area & know local code, so was able to do it myself with only one problem - it is practically impossible to get hold of 25 Amp CBs and/or fuses in this area. Had to order & wait several days on that.I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Love my Mr. Cool Mini-Split, it works GREAT !!!!!
OMG - My Mr. Cool Mini-Split works great!I bought the 36K BTU Unit and it literally cools the whole house off in 10-15 minutes.I did pay an electrician (friend) to wire it up for me even though Mr. Cool is a DIY device, I don't play with 220V power and I am not the most handy person so I called a friend. My house has big Southerly facing Windows in the High Ceiling Living Room, so the heat from the sun is a bit overwhelming when it gets warm in the PNW. The window units I used previously barely made it tolerable, they were loud (the Mr. Cool mini-split is almost silent) and they sucked a lot of power.Mr. Cool Mini-Splits are a fraction of the cost of putting in central AC and like most everything else in my house my Alexa Devices control it. So it as easy to use as telling Alexa to 'turn on Mr. Cool'.Speaking of cost, the operating cost of my Mr. Cool Mini-Split seems less than running my previous cooling solution which was multiple window units in nearly every room. Having all those windows not secured in order to have those old-school window AC units in place made me feel like I was inviting a burglar to come on in, not to mention hanging those units out the windows seemed a little tacky visually.I haven't done more than 'try' the heating function but expect it will help with that too (even though I have a great furnace with the high ceilings I have in my main living area I expect Mr. Cool will take the chill off in the winter downstairs without out overheating the upstairs.I Highly Recommend Mr. Cool Mini-Split's. Mine is keeping my house cool at a fraction of the cost and hassle of other solutions. Thanks Mr. Cool a great product that works at a reasonable price.

Easy install for the novice.
Easy installation! Quality product that is efficient and quiet. After two years of no AC in our cabin, it was time. Great pic that I would recommend anybody that wants to install it themselves.

Over priced
System works well, installation is relatively easy, but it's a bit overpriced. Truly the only difference is in the pre-charged lines!

My very first time!
Indeed!! No need to have a tech to install indoor and outdoor units (unless you damage the service lines or something else. A most!! Attention to detail and internet research. This is my very first mini split install and it works perfect. I had an electrician install the circuit breaker box, and I took care of the rest from the cable whip, a/c service disconnect box, condenser and indoor unit. All it takes is reading instructions carefully, internet research, mostly YouTube for the reading haters and that's all. It cools and heat and it is soooo quiet. I Love it and will enjoy it to the fullest!!

Loud!
The media could not be loaded. This unit rattles loud! If it’s in your garage, you’re probably okay. If it’s in your house, don’t buy this brand. My wife and I can’t use it unless the tv is loud enough to drown out the rattling noise. Mr. Cool’s customer service is horrible too. They only communicate with customers via email, and they choose when to respond. I’m pretty sure they’re ignoring me at this point, so do yourself a favor and buy locally from a store with a legit warranty.

The temperature hysteresis is too wide. A total of 6 degrees is too big.
The temperature hysteresis for the temperature set point is too wide. For example if the cool set point is 73 degrees, the compressor will not start running until 76 degrees. Then the compressor will not fully turn off until the temperature hits 70 degrees. I have talked to MrCool tech support and there is no setting to change the hysteresis value.
