The (near) PERFECT LED house numbers
I had a lot of fun with this project and these house numbers made the finished product (near) perfect. The Gucamen house numbers are sturdy and reportedly made of stainless steel painted matte black. There were no flaws in the set I received. The backing is clear acrylic. Each number comes with metal mounting pegs, spacers, additional mounting hardware. I opted to purchase identically threaded screws to better fit my needs. When lit up, the numbers are easily visible at nighttime and emit a cool white light (6000K). These are listed as weather resistant but I utilized heat shrink tubing and silicon on my setup to avoid moisture issues. The boxes received state that this product is made in China. My setup:Rough sawn 1x2 cedar mitered to 45 degreesCedar 1x4 border1x8 pine backing (sealed, primed)(8) 4 mm x 60 mm machine screws(1) direct current 12v photoelectric switch(1) 30w 12v power supply (each number draws 3 watts)What would make these numbers perfect? If they were offered in warm and cool LED colors (3k/6k) or if a switch on each number allowed the consumer to change LED color based on preference. My preference would be 3k warm white which is difficult to find with these types of house numbers. My sign has only been mounted for approximately 2 weeks so I can't comment on the longevity of the product at this time

Terrible purchase
Bought a 2 and an 8.8 didn't arrive and 2 doesn't even work anymore, less than 10 days after installation..!

Connect to light sensor with transformers and function well. The four numbers aren't spaced very far apart - seem a tad bunched together. No changing spacing as they're plate mounted. No complaints - a lot more attractive than unlighted, plain numbers. Because they lend a modern appearance, I felt the need to replace old-fashioned outdoor wall lamps that mounted on either side.

Hiding Wires Can be a Problem (protecting from the elements)
This is a really nice lighted number, but there is no space for the connections to be kept away from the elements: A single wire comes out of the lighted number on the back (12VDC supply) which needs to be connected. If a single wire comes out of the wall on which you will be mounting it, the connection will be made between the number and the wall, unless you have an electrical box. Having an electrical box under each number and spaced properly is quite unusual and represents a ridiculous need. I suggest using some sort of plate (wooden, plastic, metal, onto which you mount the numbers, having a cavity behind the plate in which to make the connections and protecting them from the elements. Another option is to solder the connections and put heat-shrink tube around the connections, and then push it into the wall, perhaps crimp butt connectors will do the job as well, but make sure they are tight so if you remove the number in the future, the wire will not pull out of the connector and be left behind in the wall. After pushing the wires back in the wall, you can put a little latex caulk to seal up the hole. After all, there is supposed to be a space behind the number between it and the wall (just less than an inch). This space may also need to be cleaned out periodically from insect cocoons, etc. depending upon your locale.Ultimately, this is a beautiful number, but I believe that adding a cavity in the number with a connection block and a cover to protect it from the elements would have been much better.Other than the above, mounting is not that difficult. If you are mounting it on brick, you may want to ensure proper spacing between the screws so you can drill only into the grout.
