This is a great product. Splits most hard dry wood with no significant difficulty. Would definitely recommend.

Delighted with this splitter.

I bought this log splitter for dry seasoned logs that are cut to around 12 inches long but the machine does not have the power to split even the straight grain wood, my old splitter rated at 5 tonnes performed much better, I bought this new one based on it's claimed 7 ton power but I doubt that it produces half of that. I would certainly return it if I had not taken it abroad, so the logistics make this difficult. I DO NOT NOT RECOMMEND YOU BUY THIS PRODUCT!!

This is an excellent machine and has split with ease everything I've put through it, including extremely knotted pieces. I was originally looking at 4 ton splitters but after reading other reviews of this machine I settled for this one. It's my first splitter having done it by hand with an axe up until now (should have bought one years ago). Within a couple of hours I had split a huge pile of logs that would have taken days any other way! Very, very impressed.
