Works well for l.reuteri "yogurt" with Dr Davis recipe
The brand Dr Davis recommends is so expensive, I thought I'd try these. No problem at all, these capsules work great. My first batch was fine; no need to do a second batch. I made a batch, and then froze a bunch of it in 2T globs in an ice cube tray and transferred it to a plastic baggie in the freezer. These frozen cubes worked great as starters. So... One capsule effectively has made me a dozen-plus batches so far. Save your money, buy this brand. Works well.

Seems to help with diverticulitis pain
I did some research on diverticulitis and found that this particular strain of probiotic has been recommended to help with the occasional flair-ups that can occur with diverticulitis. So I've been taking one capsule in the morning, and one in the evening. Easy enough. So far I have not had any issues with gut pain, so this seems to do the trick. Recommended.

Good stuff - but histamine reaction was strong for me
These are very viable. My "yogurt" formed too fast, I need to adjust down. My husband and I consumed it in small doses mixed in smoothies. He was fine. I had a significant histamine reaction that put me down for the day - excessive nausea, sweating, weird muscle pains, hungry yet couldn't eat. I recognized the feeling b/c its similar to other "overloads" of histamine in my life - allergy/sinus or GI.My husband felt great though. So I'm searching for a different strain of L.reuteri b/c I think I need to deal with the SIBO.

Trial and error is part of the process ......with awesome results
So far I have made 7 batches with 2 capsules. The first capsule faired poorly. The product at 36 hrs was as hard as feta cheese in a bath of whey. I cut the time down and got a fair amount of soft product at 16 hrs but decided to try another capsule. With the new capsule, I have cultured 2 perfect creamy results at 36 hours.I must mention that I consumed all the results including the feta cheese / whey product. In fact everything was tasty IMO. Most important is that from the beginning I noticed an improvement in my digestion and disposition. I wake up in the morning feeling wonderful. Yes, there really is something about L.Reuteri IMO.I have only used 2 capsules so far and make new batches with previous product. One noticeable change that I made on capsule 2 was to preheat the half and half with the inulin to 185, cooled it to 100, added the capsule for a 36 hour incubation. I incubate in a Ultimate Probiotic Yogurt Maker in the small cups. I consume 2 cups per day (AM/PM). I love it and feel 20 years younger !

Makes terrific probiotic yogurt
This isn't the same strain that Dr Davis recommends, but I bought it because his recommended strain is back ordered for a month. It does seem terrific though! My wife and I are both loving the yogurt that results from it. And, many of the effects Dr Davis says you'll see, we are indeed seeing. The oxytocin effect is obvious, feel great. We are sleeping better. And, I'm noticing skin improvements. And trips to the porcelain throne are all great.Dr Davis' recommended strain arrived this weekend so I'll soon have that to compare once I finish off the yogurt and make a batch with that.BTW, I solved the separation issue by heating the half and half to 100F prior to mixing in the inulin/bacteria slurry. So far, that has worked for every batch. We don't even need to use some from the previous batch to make a new batch... no separation even with using the contents of the capsule for every batch. And, we've had success making this both with the Ultimate yogurt machine as well as an Instant Pot, both great options.
