Bambino Mio, Revolutionary Reusable Nappy Booster - Daily Boost - Pack of 3 Soft Nappy Inserts for Extra Absorbency

We have been using these as a booster inside a pampers nappy and they are game changing. Our 2 year old likes a bottle of milk before bed and it means every night she’s been having nappy leaks which she was embarrassed by. We put these inside now and she’s dry in the morning and so much happier. Great product!

I have previously reviewed Bambino Mio nappies so was pleased to be able to add these daily boost inserts to our collection. The nappies I have came with the mini insert, which is great for every day, but now my little one is sleeping slightly longer stretches overnight these daily inserts offer the next level of absorbency. I found the manufacturers website could have been clearer in terms of which inserts do what - I had to really dig to find that information. There’s also a next step up called the flexi insert. I like knowing the fabric is Oeko-tex certified, and the inserts wash really well - no stains! The microfibre is great at absorbing and drawing wetness away. We’ve been using these daily boosts overnight and they’ve been great when the nappy is just wet. Our little one is a bit of a super pooper though - we had three dirty nappies overnight last night, so we get through a lot of nappies. Although these are highly absorbent, we have still had a few explosions! But it happens, and at least the nappies and liners are easy to wash!

These are must have for bedtime. Before i added this to by babies nappy with the standard orange booster, she always had a wet bed the next morning. This means she sleeps through and i have enough time to change her next morning, without leaks. I also use this one if i need the nappy to last longer than 2hrs between changes, as the blue and orange boosters together only really lasts 2hrs maybe 3hrs in the day time.

I love Bambino Mio products, so I was keen to try these mini boosters. Unfortunately, I don't know if I received a "bad batch" as such, but they have pretty much started falling apart after one wash (and line dry). The stitching has just come loose and is all just coming apart. They still seem as though I could use them, and they are quite absorbant (although they're obviously only "mini" boosts, so they're not the thickest or most absorbant pads you'll find). I simply fold them in half and pad out the front of my toddler's cloth nappy. Hopefully they'll last a good while and the stitching will hold up, otherwise the whole point of being reusable and creating less waste will be a bit redundant. I will probably update the review after a few more washes and let you know how I'm getting on with them. For now, I would recommend because they are absorbant, so they do their job. However, be wary of the stitching coming apart.

Now our 16month old is having bigger wees we need an extra booster in the pocket nappies otherwise we find they aren't even getting to 2 hours before being soaked and left wet against the skin. Having a second booster in the Mio means it drawers the moisture away from the babies skin and generally gets a decent amount of wear time out of them (2 -3 hours). The bonus of having a double layer of boosters is that if they are in and out of the car the single one we find gets squished and actually has leaked on some occasions. An ok price for such a brand but there are cheaper boosters on the market that fit the Mio fine and are £1 each cheaper.

Simple nappy boosters, made from 86% viscose from bamboo and 14% polyester. Easy washable and are easy to use, just slide it into the nappy's inner pocket. They are soft and absorbent, so are perfect as boosters in my opinion.
