The Shakti Coloring Book: Goddesses, Mandalas, and the Power of Sacred Geometry : Ellik, Ekabhumi Charles: desertcart.co.uk: Books Review: Beautiful meditation aid with historical context. - Lovely book, with great illustrations, ready to colour in. Informative explanations of the history of each Shakti, with related mandalas, chants, and instructions for colour schemes. Also, very useful instruction for the meditative practise of colouring. It's really not my kind of thing, but I did find it a relaxing aid to a different kind of meditation. Also inspired me to make a new quilt. Would make a great present too. Review: Wow - This book is a pure delight. It did take me days to find on desertcart though I would’ve expected it to be top of the list fodder. I’m new to colouring…. at age 58, and I really wanted something of depth and quality that could pull me in, this book has done that and more. I hadn’t even heard of the term ‘devotional art’ before and am loving it. Also i’m loving remembering information and energy in a different way to learning and looking and have been on a high for the couple of weeks since it arrived. Thank you.

This is a wonderful book to work with
This is a wonderful book to work with. The paper is great for pencils. It is very informative, you learn as you colour and read. Love it! Already sent it to a friend. Great also to travel with and take with you....color when you have a little time in between things.

If you like Harsh Johari's "Tools for Tantra"
If you like Harsh Johari's "Tools for Tantra", you'll love this. Not only do you get the yantras to colour but you get the corresponding devis too with lots of information about the elements within each. And there is instruction in how to construct your own yantras. I was expecting a bog-standard colouring book but this is a rich and informative book to treasure.

I'm still working my way slowly through this and getting such a lot out of the experience. I would recommend this highly
The best colouring book I've seen

Not a colouring book!
Of 125 pages, just 40 pictures, some of them quite dark in nature too. Rest of the book is text about the various Indian goddesses. If you want to study this subject matter fine. If you just want a colouring book don't waste your money. Mine went straight to the charity shop, didn't want some of the dark pictures in the house.

Il libro da colorare più bello che io abbia mai avuto. I disegni delle divinità indù sono bellissimi, curati nei particolari e danno molta soddisfazione una volta terminati.

The illustrations are very impressive!! The information is very similar to that of Harish Johari's Tools for Tantra. Detailed instructions on how to get started are simple, yet helpful. Invocation mantras, image descriptions and a brief summary of each Goddess & Yantra are included. Iam excited to begin filling the pages with colored vibrancy!

Content: This book is not for women who are ashamed of the female body and think it's "dirty". This book is also not for those who can't handle violence in ancient religions. Now, if you are an honest seeker of Shakti, what it means to be Shakti, and The meaning of the colorscapes to religous art then this book is for you! I wish I would have had this in college when I took an ancient religions course. Teacher would have went nuts in a good way and made this required reading. In short, buy this book. Learn something, or refresh in knowledge if you already know. Coloring: The paper is thin. Colored pencils and high quality crayons only.

This is a beautiful book. No question. However the way it was packed caused damage to the cover on the front and back of the book. In addition to that, the DHL delivery service was very poorly done with the package being delivered a day late to a very sweet but also disabled neighbor. There was no reason for this since we were home on the day of delivery and on the day of re-delivery. I know Prime delivery is free, but I believe someone pays DHL for their consistently bad service.
