Crocs Women's Cleo II Sandal

Cleo 2s are musts for travel. Also SUPER for bunions and sore heels.They double as comfortable daytime walking wear and as slippers at night. After dancing or running in other shoes, your feet will love you for switching to these.They are super fast to wash AND dry if you step in something icky, and for when you get home and want to be sure you don't bring anything funky from the streets or public bathrooms.Cleo 2s take up hardly any of your valuable packing room or weight.These are extremely comfortable sandals that slip on easily even from a standing position and stay on well without flopping noises (if one wears the strap in front of the ankle). Perfect for walking on the beach or a day of touring.Cleo 2s are much more streamlined than a lot of Crocs and with the contrasting colors don't look "rubber stamped" like many Crocs. Personally I don't like the black ones not only because they don't have the contrasting color, but the black itself has the Croc-rubber look that I don't like.BUNIONS. Even though they look streamlined, the Cleo 2s do not rub my bunions . With most sandals, a bunion sufferer usually has to cover the bunion and suffer the pain from pressure on it, or leave it uncovered, "sticking out there", and ugly. These actually minimize the look of the bunions without pressuring them at all.HEEL PAIN: When I've had months of plantar fasciitis (horrible heel pain from stupidly amping up a running program too fast), the Cleo 2s were my best comfort. (If you have heel pain, there's lots of info on the web, including getting the Strassburg Sock from Amazon if the cause is plantar fasciitis).Be aware that not every pair fits precisely the same. I have one pair that hits on the wrong spot at the edge of the nail, but I only notice it after wearing for a long while, and then only annoying, not painful. The others are perfectly comfortable all day long.

I bought the black pair in a size 9 and I wear a size 9 tennis shoe. The crocs fit fine, no overhanging toes or heel, and not too loose or wide. I usually try to find shoes that are a little bit wide because I have a Morton's Neuroma in my left foot and if a shoe is too narrow it causes excruciating pain. These sandals are the perfect width, just wide enough so there's no discomfort, but not so wide that it looks like a flipper. I tried wearing the strap on the back of my heel like a slingback sandal, but the strap kept slipping down. So now I'm wearing the strap over the top of my foot and the shoes stay on just fine. The straps across my toes were kind of snug at first, but after pulling on them and stretching them by hand they feel better. I usually have foot and heel pain if I wear sandals that don't have support and I'm limping by the end of the day, so I usually have to forego the sandals and just wear tennis shoes. I'm hoping these will be my sandals for the summer. So far so good (3 hours and counting). Also, per someone's suggestion, if your crocs are a little too snug, put them in the dryer for 10-15 minutes (just long enough for the dryer to warm up and get the shoes semi warm) and then you can either stuff socks or something in them to stretch them out while they cool off or you can put socks on your feet and wear the sandals for about 30 minutes until they cool off and reshape. I tried this on another pair of crocs that I have and it worked like a charm. Now I can wear them and they're comfortable. So I imagine you can do this with any type of crocs you buy. I have trouble finding sandals with backs that are not dressy and these are great because they can either be slides or slingback. The bottoms are squishy and comfortable. I did get a small blister on my instep after walking on the beach in them for a couple of hours but it was a long walk on uneven sand, so I can't really blame the sandals. I have wide feet, and can wear a 9 or 9.5 in wide shoes, but since these are not wide width, I ordered a 10 and they fit perfectly! Sometimes size 10 shoes are too long for me and stick out way past my toes but these only come to just past my toes - if they were any shorter, they would not fit...I'm glad I ordered the larger size. If you have long narrow feet these shoes might be a problem, but for my short-ish wide ones, they fit perfectly, but I would definitely recommend ordering a size up if you are a half-size.

If your feet hate shoes as much as mine do, you gotta try these. It's as close to not wearing shoes as you can get - and still be wearing shoes! They are so comfortable, I wear them everywhere, with pants, with shorts, with a skirt. Just looking at them you wouldn't think they'd be a good walking shoe because they're kind of thin and don't have a huge cushion, but turns out the design is just perfect. Like walking on air. Your feet never get tired or sore. And, they don't sweat. They double as a slipper in the house and keep my new wood floor scuff-free. They're easy to slip right into, no need to bend down to 'put your shoes on'. I have a wide and very flat foot and have a closet full of shoes I never wear because they always turn out to be uncomfortable in one way or another. I hate the feeling of confinement, and my mission in life is finding comfortable shoes. I've had 3 pairs of these Cleo II's now for a year, and they barely show any wear. Still, I'm going to buy another pair. The colors they're offering now are a little on the boring side, but I don't have blue yet so that's what I'm going to get. But I do wish they would come out with some new updated colors. Oh, and feel free to jump in all the mud puddles you want 'cause you'll never get them dirty! A quick rinse with the hose or in the sink and they're good as new. I love these shoes!
