This was to be an inexpensive, spare reel for me. My first impression opening the box (mine, TW2000 for trout) is....EXCELLENT! It appears as exact machined chrome. It does not look like an inexpensive reel. Its beautiful & refined. Stunning! So, how's it function? Loaded it with 8 lb line & tied a 1/3 ounce sinker, on my old 6 1/2 ft ultra light rod. tossed it very gently on my long driveway. Wow! It would easily cast "a mile." Smooth. No grinding. Can't wait to try it on the water! This looks like a reel winner! No joke

Great item for the price. Caught a small red fish, two whitings and a sand trout. Worked well very happy!

the reel is honestly impressive i thought ts was finna be ahh. i bought it for my ul combo i got the size 500 or 1000 idk but its actually good i mean i can say i dont think its all metal its some sort of plasti and metal but its pretty durable i wet it in saltwater next day after a little wash with the hose hes running just fine caught a few tiny snook snapper grunt mojara and evena baby cuda ngl i recomend this , oh yeah and casting and retrieve was smooth it casted out my small 1.5 inch hair jigs perfect basicaly casting a fly i spooled it with 6lb mono and it fit not too much line spool wasent too deep i would say i had like 100 yards on maybe less but drag was actually strong at max i tested and it broke 16lb mono before slipping so draf is really strong ngl and it feels nice

Mine seized up after one trip to the bay. No water got it, soaked it and oiled it, spotted in my climate controlled garage, two weeks later took it back to the bay and it’s seized up.
