When you pick this thing up and feel the full weight you think, "there's no way Im going to be able to put this on". Then you carefully slide in to it and realize that the perfect weight distribution makes this pretty darn bearable. In fact, your legs are more likely to get tired than your back is!I needed this to train for a fitness test coming up. I love the ease of adjusting the weight to what I want, and the 5 pockets on both sides give you options for where you put the weights. Its comfortable and the lower chest band gives great support. I didnt get the ones with the shoulder pads, and while I do think they would make it more comfortable, you can easily add your own make shift padding that will do the same thing. This is a great exercise tool to really help you build muscle and strength. Its very good quality and seems like it will be durable over time.

Nice snug fit, doesn't move around. Vests that move, cause pain and chaffing. This fits very well and is well balanced. Removable weights, so vest is washable. Very happy, plus you can order heavier weights to up the maximum load. Very comfortable, has phone holder and two straps to keep vest on firmly. Very happy with the quality, and was cheaper than the 20lb vest I bought at Walmart, which hurt my shoulders and back because it was too front heavy and the weight was not distributable. I am glad I went with the shoulder pads, it is heavy enough at full weight to merit the use of the shoulder pads, you can easily make your own too.

Nice weight vest, does what its supposed to. Velcro straps on each side can make it fit snugly. Weight is distributed evenly on front and back. Def get the shoulder pads. I use it for elliptical machine at home. Before this I would hold a medicine ball while on machine but that was hurting my back after prolonged use so I like the even weight distribution of this vest. Only got the 20lb vest which is plenty for me (and can easily knock it down to 10lbs etc). It 100% looks like a SWAT team vest so I probably won't wear it outside, but that's just me.

Quality is good, fit and size is great. Weight distribution is awesome. It is durable and didn't notice any smell when received.

This vest is amazing, although we haven’t had it for very long but it’s definitely well made. My husband bought it for himself but I keep stealing it and using it for my walks around the neighborhood the fit is adjustable so it’s perfect for both of us. It goes on very easy and you can choose the right weight that works best for you. Each bag weighs 4 lbs and there are 10 bags. I started with 4 (2 in the back and 2 in the front). I personally don’t think you need the extra shoulder pads. The color is black and that’s great. There is a little bit of a smell but that’s because it’s new. The only con I can think of is the “ phone holder “ isn’t very convenient, but that’s just my opinion.

I got the 40 lb version with shoulder pads for about $63, and now I see it’s almost double that. Honestly, it’s still worth it.Each weight pouch (sand) is around 4 lbs, so you can easily adjust the load depending on the exercise. I use 16 lbs for my 4-mile weekend walks and it adds just the right challenge. I’ve also worn the full 40 lbs, and trust me, the shoulder pads make a huge difference. I am 63. I have not been working out continuously. When I try doing a weight workout, I can tell I am simply weak. I am using this to slowly build the amount of weight I can carry. (waiting on those grandkids to be born)!This helps because started with just the vest, no weights. I wore it for 15 minutes twice a day for a week. Then I added 1 weight (about 2 lbs) and wore it for 15 minutes twice a day for another week. The week after (this week), I added another weight (about 2 lbs). I put one in the front pocket and one in the back pocket to even it out a bit. There are 8 -2lb weights that I can add, plus the weight of the vest itself. I do believe it is working. I do feel stronger than I did the first day. I recommend this one if you want to start slow and build up. The others I looked into did not offer the ability to remove & add weights at will, so I like that this does. Although there are other vests that would be better for "runners," I could not start with the smallest amount of weight I saw on those. Sadly the smallest weight was only 20 lbs, but I know I am not there yet. I also have a condition, a disease, that I was told would slowly take away my muscles, which is why I am so weak, and why I am hoping this will help. After I get to the full weight of the jacket, I hope to start increasing the amount of time I am wearing the vest. I believe it is a good purchase. It was very well-made and sturdy. It does kind of make me feel like I am wearing a bulletproof vest.
