As someone curious about latch hooking, this little kit was a perfect intro. It was small, bright and colorful, and not overwhelming to tackle. The instructions were decent although for me, a video was more helpful on learning how to manipulate the tool and fibers. Now while I am grateful to have found this kit, my one giant gripe is that the yarn fibers came in UNSORTED bundles. Which means that ALL the colors were mixed together in several various bundles. I don't understand why, at that point where there are multiple bundles anyway, they couldn't put them in there presorted, but alas. My partner was kind enough to sort them all into baggies for me so it was easier to work this piece. The yarn quality was....to be expected from a kit this cheap, but functional nonetheless. I would say it could be good for kids if the kid has the patience to learn how to work the tool. After that, it's easy going. The schematic is painted on the "canvas", so there is no pattern to have to refer to for placement like some other kits. That's really nice actually, then you can just cruise control through the project. So yea, fiber sorting aside, it was a good entry experience. Made me appreciate the nicer kits out there for sure.

I bought this for my friends little girl. She loves crafts and I remember how much fun I had doing these when I was younger. It is a complete set with everything needed to complete the rug and is cute as heck.

If you’re trying to get your kids into making latch hook then go for this one! It’s only a few colors so it’s less overwhelming…I liked this canvas it makes it easy to hang up when you’re done. Good quality yarn as well. Kids started at aged like 8 might enjoy this. This may not come with the latch hook tool though (I don’t remember) so you’ll have to read the product before u buy it.

A good activity for my granddaughter however the yarn was packaged by color. Therefore we had to separate the colors before starting the project.

Kids absolutely addicted to this... everything old is new again ;)

This was an adorable project that our whole family got involved in. I bought it for my 7 year old who loves crafting, and she loved it. It took me and two of my kids a total of about 13 or so hours to complete, so it definitely is time consuming, but well worth the hours spent. If a kid under 10 was doing this on their own I think it would be quite a long haul, they might lose interest. But again, we enjoyed it, and it looks absolutely adorable now that it is all done- my daughter loves it.

Great kit, works well, seems decent quality and has been fun for kids 8 & 9 years old.

Great! My kid loves it. First one to do by herself. Webbing seems a little weaker than other sets, but no problem for us.
