Directions: Place the charcoal chimney starter on top of a cold, clean grill. Fill the space under the vented base inside the charcoal chimney starter with a few sheets of crumpled-up newspaper or a wooden fire starter roll. Fill the space above the vented base with briquets. With a long reach lighter or matches, carefully light the newspaper/starter roll and watch as the charcoal briquets evenly burn inside the chimney starter. Once the briquets are lightly covered with white ash, use gloves or mitts to hold the handle and remove the starter from the grill and lift the upper grill grate. Pour the coals onto your grill and return the upper grill grate back into place.
