I’ve been using Every man Jack sandlwood for a few years and decided to try something different. Mostly the hook of the name on this one got me. Anyway, it smells pretty good, but is far less earthy than EMJ. Much brighter and almost cologne like, I would even say a touch intrusive. Feels more like a going out flourish, than an every day beard tamer.

A really good beard conditioner/moisturizer. Works great!

Did not like the smell, but the Sandalwood scent by Striking Viking smells great. Recommended. Five stars because it does keep my beard soft as advertised.

So, it is really quite good at moisturizing and feeling light on the beard BUT... It has a horrible, bad medicine smell. Imagine the nastiest cough drop and old school medicine syrup that didn't have sugar and flavor in it. The stank hangs around and the initial very pleasant vanilla scent is quickly overwhelmed by the nastiness. I occasionally use their vanilla beard wax (which is pretty much beeswax and vanilla and smells great but is very greasy-/waxy-feeling as you can imagine) which smells great, so I was very disappointed with this product. If they could fix the smell, or if I got a bad batch or something (ya never know from Amazon sometimes...), it would be a great product for the underbeard itch and the softening of a wiry beard. Until then, stay away if you have a nose and/or avoid using on your mustache. This is one of those times when going to a store to smell things might have been the right choice instead of believing some online reviews.

First off it is made in china. So who knows the quality of the ingredients. Second, it is just a beard cream that unfortunately gives it shine, so it looks oily. 2 stars for the fragrance.

Really good balm. Not as sticky and hard as wax but works well and you can shape your beard. Fresh and elegant scent of sandalwood is very distinctive

Great smell! The smell is not overpowering nor does it stick around too long. It goes on easy and seems to soften the beard fairly well.
